  1. Nobody believes that. You'd be complaining about the lack of prospects or whatever part of the team that was lowest performing. If you were dating Kate Upton you'd be complaining about the fact that she's not going to age well. If you won the lottery you would be bitching about the taxes you'd have to pay.
  2. You mean the team that threw Jared Eickhoff yesterday and is starting "Tylor" Megill today?
  3. Jack if they were fully healthy and had the best record in the MLB you would be complaining saying they're not proven because the division sucks and they didn't spend enough in the offseason. At what point do you realize you're going to b**** and moan regardless of how the Sox fare?
  4. What? Do you think there is some flip where teams develop for years and then spend 300 million? You always want to develop. Success is measured by continued winning. They made the playoffs last year in their first year of being competitive. Should’ve won the division. Despite all the injuries they’ve dealt with this year, they’re on pace to be in the playoffs again. You’re acting like they’re the Philis or Angels or something.
  5. You want the Sox to be spend like the top spender and develop like the best developing team in baseball. I get it. It’s amazing the Sox haven’t seen what the rays are doing and just started pulling good players out of their ass. Like how good would the MLB be if everyone produced like the Rays and spent like the Yankees?
  6. The Rays signed Garcia in January of 2019 and Garcia makes millions more than Eaton in 2021 lol. Glasgow is in Scotland. Glasnow is on the IL from complications of being forced to stop cheating. "Yondy" Chirinos is actually Yonny Chirinos. Fleming is on the DL simply because he's sore and the Rays had an off day yesterday and have one Thursday. They can IL him, skip his start and carry an extra reliever. Plus he was slated to face Toronto who hammers lefties and they gave him trouble in two starts this year. Archer is hurt. As he was expected to be. What's the point here?
  7. This isn't what happened. They received immunity under the PREP act. If they remove the public health emergency designation from COVID Americas have protections from the experimental vaccines. The PREP Act was created to encourage the creation of the treatments in case of emergency. We now have the treatments already and there is no emergency currently in the states related to COVID. Everyone that is in favor of the individual over the corporations would support this.
  8. Employers liability shields are a totally different subject. Everybody is aware of why someone would want to limit risk in business. Changing the subject doesn't answer my question. If these vaccines are "science" and all the data supports them, what exposure do the pharmaceutical companies need protection from? If there is nothing wrong with the vaccines why would they need the government to give them immunity? Why do so many Americans blindly support the government allowing pharmaceutical companies to operate without being accountable if there unintended were issues with their product? Given everyone is so sure there is no potential for liability with the vaccines, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that Big Pharma made sure to work with the government to get immunity. Wouldn't everyone feel safer if they had recourse in case something did go wrong? Just a little weird how many love and trust Big Pharma without question.
  9. He's a high school kid and ineligible for the NBA draft so no.
  10. I am vaccinated but open minded. To me, given the vaccine availability in both quantity and the facilities administering it, there should have been a set date that everyone who wants to get vaccinated, gets vaccinated by. To everyone simply quoting the word "science" for their beliefs on the vaccine, why did the MNC pharmaceutical companies need to be exempted from suit if the science/vaccine is science is so well understood and the vaccine is so safe? If that were the case I don't know why they would be concerned with any potential suits. It's just a little strange seeing all the people shilling for the corporations/pharmaceutical companies.
  11. Birmingham's catchers have been putting together nice offensive seasons. Kanny's Latin guys are all settling in at the plate. Great to see.
  12. Starter goes 6 innings. Kopech goes 2 innings. Hendriks goes 1 inning.
  13. Adolfo has played the full year at AA with no issues and is really showing well. He could have gaudy numbers in Charlotte if the craftier AAAA types aren't an impediment to him. The K% is still huge at 35% though. HR: 1st RBI: 1st SLG: 2nd SO: 3rd 2B: 3rd OPS: 4th
  14. Looks like rain is about to stop and not start again until after midnight. Should start on time and get it in if the forecast is remotely accurate.
  15. Harvin Mendoza turning his season around after an awful start. He is hitting .356/.431/.511/.942 over his last 13 games. DJ Gladney started June hot but has since gone 0 for his last 21.
  16. WHO released June guidance. They are not recommending the vaccine for children. https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/covid-19-vaccines/advice
  17. My guess is they get today in and have a DH on Sunday.
  18. Yeah and it's not like Burger has ever looked good at 3B. He's just not much of an athlete and while he's a "ballplayer" he's just never going to be a graceful guy between the lines. That said, give him the starts at DH against LHP. Give him a start or two at 2B each week. The bar to clear Mercedes production is very low.
  19. There’s a big difference between releasing someone and trading someone. I would definitely include Sheets in a deal. And the way the Sox have been hit with injuries giving him a shot might actually be one of the better options for the Sox in the short term.
  20. Not sure you can roster Peralta and Lamb on the same team. Peralta's better at D but they're otherwise very similar players at this point.
  21. Which catcher are you comfortable with? They really don't have anyone of AAA quality. Maybe Carlos Perez. There is not a lot of catching. Zavala has been avoiding the 40 man drop for a long time and had survived a whole lot as the 4th catcher. He ain't going anywhere.
  22. Absolutely no reason to give up on Sheets at his point. Rutherford and Adolfo, yeah. Decisions are going to have to be made.
  23. Yeah I would agree. Excited to see how it plays out. I do expect the Sox to go really top heavy again with the way they allocate spending so hopefully someone falls.
  24. It's probably time to option Mercedes and Gonzalez shouldn't have ever been added IMO.
