The national media is all aboard the Sox train. Olney would be the exception.

I think the Dodgers are the big variable. It's a creative front office with the league's deepest pockets. Just how much are they willing to spend, how much do they have to move, etc.
-
Yeah not sure that's necessary.

Rosenthal: Could Harper be headed to the southside
raBBit replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think the Sox will have a better idea of their approach with Cease going into ST. If they hypothetically signed Harper then I think we could see Cease a lot sooner. It's only ten starts, but Cease dominated in AA last year. If he hits the ground running this year and the rotation has an injury or Nova/Giolito are awful I think we could see Cease by the end of May. -
He's not. He's a good ballplayer who provides more than enough value to warrant his last couple years of arbitration.

That is completely disrespectful to Bradley Jr.

Cruz has averaged 41 HRs per year and an OPS over .900 since the year he popped.

Update per Heyman: White Sox one of 3 teams meeting Machado
raBBit replied to DirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Harper is a star and a leader and Machado is just very good at baseball with questionable makeup. -
I should have elaborated whitesoxwinner that's my bad. I disagree with the part about them not pursuing pitching and focusing on Harper. They're on other players that aren't Harper and would include pitcher. I am not sure how much there is to do with Harper. Obviously it's one of the sport's biggest if not the biggest free agent pursuit ever. It's this or A-Rod back in the early 2000's. Regardless, Boras and/or Harper control the pace. I think the Sox just have a waiting game with sporadic efforts towards due diligence to make sure they're not getting played. I think most of the heavy lifting is done.

Nope.

Castillo the starter, Sox still looking to add
raBBit replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's pretty scary. He takes over a team that's at a crossroads and he's making a bunch of risky moves and getting rid of his top prospects for a reliever and 35-year-old Cano -

That's an inner division trade I can see. Van Wagenen is a wild card. I feel like he's going to do his best impression of AJ Preller's first season. -

Someone said the Braves overvalue their prospects and when you think about it, they have yet to acquire a significant, established player via trade. They have kept the vast majority of their prospect accumulation. They've been in on plenty of rumors, but never actually converted on anything. I would kind of doubt them breaking that trend with a team in their division but you can't ever rule out the stupidity of the Marlins. -
Patrick Corbin signing for 6/$140 million to Nats
raBBit replied to DirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
What's your point? They were a team that wasn't good and benefited off of free agency? You said that's impossible. It wasn't and it's not. EDIT: They only had Arrieta because they signed a free agent in a year they sucked and traded that player for Arrieta. -

The Cubs before they got good. They signed Jason Hammel and traded him in a package for their World Series SS and another notable prospect They signed Jon Lester coming off of a 73 win season. They signed Matt Garza and traded him for 2 relievers on the World Series roster and another notable prospect. They signed Scott Feldman and traded him for a TOR starter and a back end reliever. -

I agree. They have Soto and Robles who are young studs with at least 6 years of control each. Then they have Adam Eaton. Then they have Michael Taylor for when Eaton gets hurt. -

That's not true whatsoever. -
Yeah I am with you for all the reasons stated and more but from what I can gauge, there's as good as a chance he ends up at 3B as 2B.

The guy who broke all of the recent Mariners transactions has said the Mariners really want to dump Seager and their internal forecasts have his best days behind him. I am not totally opposed to Seager as a player, but the four year comittment at $17/$18M AAV or whatever it is seems a little stiff for me. Sox are very open, but ultimately I think the Sox move Moncada to 3B and pick up a scrap heap 2B FA like Dozier, Murphy or Schoop.

I haven't said anything about the other posters past that other posters know you're full of it. You quoted specific numbers to an alleged report that you won't provide. You told everyone that "Kavanaugh was in the news" and other unrelated things to sidestep backing up your seemingly made up numbers. Bolded - This is crazy to have to explain this to someone who posts on a forum ~20 times a day for 15 years but when you make an argument, you are expected to provide the links and references. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim not the people asking where the data is coming from.

She lied in the first lawsuit leading to her lawyers to apologize for their actions and acknowledge their wrong doing. The quote you pulled that I bolded is related to a separate lawsuit where Dershowitz was looking to repair his image and her efforts to get involved were stopped by the judge due to procedural court happenings.
-
A woman's lawyers having to apologize and acknowledge their mistake pursuing legal action on her behalf is pretty clear standard.

1.) You just made this up. Please quote my posts where I said these things. 2.) Three posters have asked you to provide support for your specific data claims. You have denied all of them and refuse to admit you're full of it. 3.) This was the "plowing through" I was referring to. I have done nothing like this and you like to keep saying you're right to convince yourself. I am not saying I am right about any of this. It seems you won't be providing any support to your initial made up numbers related to Kavanuagh when you derailed the thread, so I just know you're wrong. As others have pointed out as well. 4.) Remind me again, who brought up Brett Kavanaugh in a thread about baseball on a site that doesn't allow political talk?

I don't want want to get in the way of your character assassination but the lawyers who pursued charges against Dershowitz later admitted it to be a mistake to include him in the lawsuit. https://www.businessinsider.com/alan-dershowitz-jeffrey-epstein-settlement-2016-4 Dershowitz later won a defamation suit against the women who claimed he was involved in a sex crime. The court's record shows woman was lying and they denied her action to sue Dershowitz. https://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/crime--law/lawyer-alan-dershowitz-wins-legal-fight-against-woman-over-sex-claims/4ZmoEIcPhwCMPcnOIoWRzH/
