  1. Tony does not bat. But he’s absolutely a major problem. I would venture a guess that a significant reason why this team plays with non energy is very much TLR related.
  2. There really isn’t much of a path to sneak into the playoffs at this point. Effectively 6 GB with 34 to play. Probably have to go 24-10 or better to have a chance. There’s just no way unless Cleveland plays like .333 baseball rest of season.
  3. Yup. That game Thursday night was the last straw of my optimism. Only watched 1 game this weekend. Not sure I’ve missed 2/3 games in a long while. I’ll still tune in most nights cuz Sox baseball is just a part of me, but 2022 is dead. What a fuckin shame of a season.
  4. You’re the one that suggested the Sox would need to trade Cease to dump 1 year at $12M on AJ Pollock…
  5. They don’t actually have to listen to him tho. Give him a desk in the basement under the air conditioner until he quits.
  6. He’s def going to be on the roster. You just gotta hope he can catch 70 or so games and take his walks and run into some homers.
  7. Cease is probably one of the more valuable pitchers in the game. This is an awful take.
  8. Anderson SS, Moncada 3B, Robert CF, Eloy DH, Vaughn 1B, Nimmo RF, Pollock LF, Grandal C, insert 2B that bats left handed and plays defense BN: Seby, Engel, Leury, Sheets Colas takes over as starter in OF come May. Pollock to bench/injury replacement for Eloy. Pollock and Leury are gonna be on this roster. Insert Conforto for Nimmo if you want, he’ll be cheaper so prob more likely, but Nimmo absolutely better fit.
  9. Fire everyone. Literally no one besides perhaps Katz that is involved with this coaching staff, front office and training staff deserves to retain their job.
  10. Such a pathetic effort night after night
  11. Im sure Perez has some nerves, but damn…thought he was supposed to be a good catcher.
  12. I get that. But you’re giving Yoan away for nothing. You’re also committing to make 2 of the biggest problems is team has even worse. I get why some people hate Yoan; he’s frustrating as hell. But you just gotta hope he snaps out of it. Moving him at rock bottom just doesn’t make sense.
  13. Continue to not understand this take at all. Yoan was absolutely awful the season; He has no value. Giving away one of the few guys on this team that actually plays defense and bats from the left side is hard for me to get behind. He’s one guy you just have to hope a new training and coaching staff is able to solve next season
  14. Scorched earth this shit and put AV at 3B the next week. Why not
  15. Is Burger hurt? Don’t see him listed on Charlottes available roster last night.
  16. I dispise Tony, but Tony doesn’t bat and play defense and run the bases. Tony has cost the Sox several games at least, but ultimately this team just has no killer instinct, sucks at situational hitting and is awful defensively. that said, I absolutely fire Tony as deep into the sun as possible.
  17. I have little doubt the Sox will misplay the situation. But if the plan is for Colas to be on the Opening Day 2023 roster, he should be in Chicago already. It’s just really not that complicated. In an ideal world, we have a full new set of folks making these decisions in 2023, but White Sox.
  18. Because the Sox will put him on the OD roster?
  19. Maybe play with a little life tonight?
  20. Pissing him off? Who cares what he thinks. He’s controlled by the White Sox for 6 mlb seasons, but really 7 if they don’t make stupid short sighted decisions. There isn’t a single good reason to bring Colas to the big leagues before late April 2023. By the time he’s a FA, if he’s still holding a grudge from a non call up in 2022 when he was hardly even a top 100 prospect, there are bigger issues at play. Now, peak stupidity would be to not bring him up this season, and then put him on the OD roster in 23, I will give you that.
  21. Just when we put em' down to die, maybe they'll wake up. Doubt it, but a boy can dream even though I know deep down a limp to the finish line is probably best for the longer term prospects of this club.
