  1. This. I’ll watch regardless so I’d rather see them snap out of it. But if they fall 6 GB+, I’ll lose hope. Until then, and certainly at just 3 GB and the Twins playing even worse than us, it’s still there for the taking.
  2. I love AV, but I guess if you can turn AV into Reynolds you probably have to do it. Because of the Sox stupidity on controlling AV last season, he only has 1 more year of control than Reynolds.
  3. He's still in the org, just not wasting a 40 man any longer. Ideal.
  4. He has 20 PA since the ASB. Prior to it he was ripping the cover off the ball. He's one of our best hitters. He needs to play everyday.
  5. I don't think its a stretch to believe at least 2-3 new guys will be brought in before Tuesday at 5pm, so yeah....likely just getting Markel off hte 40 man before having to DFA.
  6. Or Parker Markel sucks and they knew no one else would waste a 40 man spot on him so they slipped him through waivers before having to DFA. Frankly they could do the exact same thing with Aybar and Severino too.
  7. They could clear about 4-5 more with the collection of trash relievers they're carrying, and have been all season, on the back of the 40 man. Just a completely puzzling way to handle the back of the 40 man this season.
  8. I think this has more to do with TLR being a fucking idiot over anything else.
  9. This trade season has been boring AF so far.
  10. I refuse to entertain the thought the Sox would be worse off with Gallo in RF against RHP as opposed to Sheets rest of season. Assuming health of Eloy, Robert, Engel and Pollock...all of which deserve that caveat....things do get a bit crowded out there with Gallo on board. But I am fine with Pollock getting less time against RHP, shift AV to LF and let Eloy DH. Plus Eloy is going to get plenty of offdays ROS. I am not saying Gallo is some homerun acquisition. As you said, he's damn near a DFA or salary dump. But he's also 1 year removed from a 4.4 fWAR season. Gavin Sheets probably won't accumulate 4.4 fWAR in his career.
  11. Who are they even going to bring up? Martin and stick him in the pen? Other options on 40 man are Sousa, Severino, Markel, Aybar and BIlous...none of which seem like real options at this point. Maybe its time they give Hunter Schryver a shot.
  12. It would be. I’d rather try Gallo.
  13. While I absolutely agree with this line of thinking and have all along the line with our guys starting with Kopech, and then Eloy, then Robert, and Vaughn. But one thing has always been consistent..they challenge the player, or extend them and call them up. If Colas keeps hitting like this, they aren’t waiting until May 2023 to do something. This is the White Sox.
  14. Like I said, nice season. He’s a 31 YO back the rotation SP having a career year. Good for him. Don’t be the guy to pay full price. Dude has a career whip of just under 1.5. He’s an upgrade on no one in our rotation.
  15. Cause he sucks. Nice season for him. Wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole unless TEX hands him over for a song.
  16. Who we removing from the rotation? His buddy Lance Lynn?
  17. If that's the case, I wouldn't expect much other than a pen arm or two. Acquiring better players would push some of his beloveds out of the lineup.
  18. So you would sell when 3 GB when literally in the midst of a contention window and the point of playing the game is going to the playoffs? Had the Sox fallen to 7-8 GB right now, I think selling has some merit. Selling when 3 GB of two teams that are not good doesn't make a single shred of sense.
  19. Did you really expect them to sell when 3 GB of 2 teams that aren't good?
  20. I don't care. I'll take the larger sample. You can focus on whatever fits your narrative, but your narrative is stupid. Vaughn is an awesome bat.
