  1. "Forearm strain" never something you want to hear with a pitcher. Hopefully Liam is alright.
  2. Is today the day Sousa finally goes? Sounds like Kelly is gonna get activated for tonight, so someone has to go. Imagine its either him or Banks since they were both used yesterday. Would be odd to go with Lambert, Crick or a Ruiz DFA since they could have done that yesterday to get a fresh arm up and they didn't pitch yesterday. Typing that our just reinforces how sad this pen is right now when we have 5 guys that shouldn't even on the roster. 2 of them should be gone within next 18 hours as someone has to go for VV as well.
  3. Should be an inteersting lineup down there tonight with TA, Eloy and Sheets. Hopefully Perez is back in action too so we can swap him out for Zavala soon.
  4. Nah? You honestly think this lineup is well constructed? You're nuts. The White Sox currently have the worst left handed hitting in the leauge...by quite a bit...but a career 136 wRC+ against RHP wouldn't help? Yeah, OK. Yes, Grandal has been awful. That hurts. Joc Pederson wasn't the answer, though he'd be worlds better than Gavin Sheets or running with an everyday lineup without a single natural left handed hitter.
  5. Well, not making a move for a competent LH hitter was an awful decision that rears its ugly head literally every game. Conforto would have been an awesome fit. This team would be so much better with him if he was healthy. Turns out he was hurt all offseason and it wasn't really public knowledge until mid Spring Training but the teams knew about it all along. So he was never really an option...unfortunatelybecause we need someone just like him.
  6. Weren't you one of the posters constantly championing Sheets this offseason and how the Sox shouldn't spend $ on any actual competent LH hitter because it would block Sheets ABs?
  7. To say that this team wouldn't miss a single beat without Jose is a pretty enormous stretch.
  8. I definitely assume that the new stance is their (white sox coaching) doing.
  9. He's turned himself into an opposite field singles hitter with this stance, that needs a bit time mistake to make good contact. Its awful. How they haven't tried to close him up a bit is beyond me.
  10. This. Moncada was a really good player as recently as last season. He still just has 100 PA, and while they've been awful, its not a hug sample. You just have to keep running him out there until he figures it out. Chances aren't great that he just forgot how to play baseball at age 27.
  11. Eloy's days in LF should be mostly over. AV as a whole has been fine in out the OF in the overall sample. The first couple weeks this year were rough but he's been fine since. He has a middle of the pack defensive LF last year - people tend to forgot that most LF aren't good defenders. He is fine out there; you can always move him in to 1B a couple years.
  12. I don't think so. AV can play LF another season or two.
  13. Robert is at 1.2 fWAR currently (third on team behind TA 2.1 and Jose 1.5); on pace for just under 4.0 fWAR without really playing well.
  14. Yes. I go back and forth on whether they should; jose leaving certainly would solve some roster issues. But he's also still a really good bat, and we aren't really in the position to giving those away. I just hope they go year by year, and certainly don't overpay like last time, even though his 2020 MVP probably make the deal worth it in the end.
  15. Robert doesn't need to be Buxton. It took Buxton half a decade to kind of sort of figure it out on the offensive side. Not worried about him. Robert needs to be Robert, and that is going to require an overhaul over his awful approach at the plate currently.
  16. Robert needs an overhaul of his batting stance. Do what you were doing at the end of last season. What he is doing now sucks.
  17. Very much so. Missed most of the game but sounds like it was over some defensive positioning. In any event, some fire around this club is sorely needed.
  18. They had to add Zavala. it’s just poor timing that Perez was hurt when the opportunity came.
  19. Pretty sure Perez is hurt. He hasn’t played in like a week.
  20. Just got home and turned game on. Saw this video from Pitching Ninja. Any idea what that was about?
  21. Lower back spasms? Rolling with a 3 man pen tonight? So confused?
  22. Hope his stay in Charlotte is brief. We need him in Houston.
