  1. He didn’t even have value before this season. If he had, he’d have been traded.
  2. Man I’m just tickled by this news. Could be a season saver.
  3. Jeff Cohen says that Jimmy Lambert is in TOR with the club and will likely be activated as Cease replacement on Thursday.
  4. I think you gotta DH Burger over Sheets at this point. Sheets has been sooooooo bad. He had one 3 game stretch where he hit a homer each game, otherwise he's been DREADFUL. This coming from the guy that wanted to add lefty bats as bad as anyone this offseason, but you cannot just keep running Gavin out there. Especially in the OF like tonight. Once Eloy is back, I just don't see any room for Gavin on this roster.
  5. Yeah, that's fair. Eloy is going to get hurt. I've accepted that. We just need to hope to avoid major injuries. If he plays 120+ games in a season one of the next few years, I'd be pleasantly surprised. Just happy it was not a major set back, and hopefully we can get Eloy's bat in the DH spot for the majority of the final 60% of the season. And hopefully he actually hits.
  6. The dude got carried off without putting weight on his leg. Plenty of reason to be extremely concerned. Seems as though we may get as close to a best case scenario as reasonably expected. Which is fanfuckingtastic and much needed news. Doesn't change the fact that there is a multitude of things to be extremely concerned about with this team and its management, which JGB cannot ever seen to wrap his head around. They've been awful 30% of the way thru the season, with no signs of turning it around. Not exactly a cute little sample size any longer.
  7. Sometimes? I feel like he makes winning decisions less off than losing decisions. Honestly. Its rare there is an entire game that goes by that the lineup and in game decisions point towards a manager trying to put his team in the best position to win.
  8. Sounds like 3-6 weeks. Which is fantastic fucking news, if its true. Not quite ready to move on with WSD being the most credible source of that to this point.
  9. Cannot wait for Tony's comments on Luis not playing. "Just needed another day. He was in a plane yesterday; didn't like his mattress last night. Just not quite ready yet..was a planned offday. Good thing we got 9 other guys ready to go out there and fight."
  10. Didn't even notice no Robert. Fuckina.
  11. Better than Leury. Is Leury dinged up? He hasn't played since Thursday. And fuckin' Yoan. C'mon man.
  12. They still are not moving Moncada.
  13. Not quite Hahn but this is encouraging.
  14. Yeah, until I hear Hahn say its a grade 1 strain and he's week to week, I am still VERY concerned.
  15. Exactly. Just give him a three game tryout at 2B; can send him right back after Toronto if need be. What do you have to lose? Nothing obviously. But would imagine he (or anyone else) would have been mentioned in one of the press releases the last 24 hours. So the Sox yet again put themselves at a competitive disadvantage for literally no reason whatsoever. EDIT: Some talk on Twitter that a pitcher that started within 3 days cannot be replaced. Not sure if that is legit, but would at least make some sense.
  16. Sox made the TA for Robert move, but still no word on adding another player to replace Cease/Graveman on the roster (just Crick recalled yesterday). Not using the rules to their advantage here would be a real head scratcher. They can literally call up anyone they want in the org and they don't have to be added to the 40 man if not on it, and they don't have to use an option if they are. Just calling up an arm to eat innings in a blowout makes 100x more sense than not using it. Add another thing to the list of puzzling decisions the past 18 months.
  17. TA added to 10 day IL; no real update tho.
  18. I personally think Tony's mugshot and pictures in the back of the cop car would be ideal, but Leury will have to do for now. Even tho he's kind of needed atm haha.
  19. Fangraphs still has sox as 47.7% favorite to win division (64.4% to make playoffs), slightly over Twins at 45.7% to win division. I doubt that takes TA's situation into account though.
  20. Fantastic work on the new banner!
  21. Have there really been no rumblings from within on how serious this injury is? I am braced for a September return, but fuckina hearing a 3-5 week timeframe would be such a morale boost personally, and hopefully for the boys as well. Just praying for some good news.
