  1. The answer is simple and swift: when JR decided to hire TLR to manage this team.
  2. I think it’s probably time the Sox make a move in the dugout.
  3. Gonna need some moves to the pitching staff after this one.
  4. I’d like to hear to analysis from @trayabout how bad AV is.
  5. Keuchel should have been used Monday as the mop up man. Choosing Keuchel over VV made no sense then, before this game started and quite obviously now.
  6. Eloy is that bat, like it or not. They aren’t bringing in another OF for at least 6 weeks.
  7. I don't know what you're missing. He needs to throw 160 innings for the option to vest. He's thrown 30 innings in 7 starts (~4.3 innings per start, on avg). If he takes every turn through the rotation the rest of the season, he make 25 more starts. 25 starts X average of 5 innings per starts (again, he has averaged less than that to date) = 125 innings + 30 innings pitched to date = 155 innings, which is below the 160 innings, and that assume Dallas makes 25 more starts, which is incredibly unlikely. Its unlikely Dallas makes 25 more starts. Its unlikely he averages 5 IP in the rest of the starts that he actually does make. Therefore, it is incredibly unlikely he hits 160 innings. This dude is going to be replaced in the rotation when Lynn returns anyway. If he's thrown in pen for even just 2 weeks, and then gets a rotation spot back, he's never getting to 160 innings even if he starts the rest of the season on from that point. Its really a non issue.
  8. 43 games; 43 different lineups. Today will be no different. Tony is the smartest guy in the room, according to him.
  9. His option isn't going to vest. Its a non issue already. Even if he takes his spot in the rotation the rest of the season for 25 more starts and averaging 5 IP (he won't), thats 155 IP total. But there is no way he's making 25 more starts, nor averaging 5 IP per. That said, he absolutely should not be making starts for the White Sox any longer. Its a joke at this point. VV is a better option until Lynn returns.
  10. I'd be pleasantly surprise if he pitches again before late June.
  11. Seems like a rinse, repeat situation for most Sox games so far this season.
  12. I don't think that is going too far out on a limb on Eloy. He's very likely to get hurt again regardless. I think they've been pretty cautious with Lance, and I suspect he'll be fine. Just hoping we get a fresh Lance ready to dice for 3.5 months.
  13. Well that is 3 too many more Kuechel starts. But yes, certainly hope that is the case.
  14. Not really sure why we’re still running Dallas out there. The decision was obviously made before the series and cemented when VV came in for relief on Tuesday. But woof - we gotta stop punting games with Keuchel on the mound.
  15. Maybe the manager doesn’t have them prepared to play….
  16. Burger certainly doesn’t make that play. And some fire from Yoan
  17. TBF, any positive result regarding the Sox is the complete opposite of what you thought would happen.
  18. 15 years too late. Father Time catches up to everyone.
  19. At this point I gotta agree, especially once Eloy returns. DH should be Eloys, period.
