  1. I would be shocked if this happened. They keep running Banuelos out there instead of Lopez? Lol, not going to happen.
  2. Yah, that the issue. The two best OF fits for the Sox in FA next year are Ozuna and Castellanos. Both are poor defenders. I guess you could hope to transition one to DH eventually, but we sure have along of 1B/DH types. Really need one of the OF prospects to turn it on. Still super bummed about Adolfo, thought he was going to have a monster year and be that guy.
  3. Just keep running him out there every 5th day and hope it clicks. We have no better options right now, and obviously things work much better if Reylo can be a decent mid rotation guy as your 5 starter.
  4. Yes, I believe 2 more seasons. Definitely at least 1.
  5. I hope there is a plan for something more splashy tomorrow
  6. They're sure saving a lot of money last 3 picks... Hopefully not all of that will be eaten up by 3rd and 4th rounders, and we can make a splash tomorrow.
  7. 2018: 1-3, 5.69 ERA, 26 G 9 GS, 55.1 IP, 39 K, 21 BB, .307 BA 2019: 4-5. 7.15 ERA, 27 G, 8 GS, 61.2 IP, 47 K, 19 BB, .316 BA
  8. Thank you. Just needed a quick refresher. So if you sign a guy for $150K in round 15, the $25k will come out of your slot values for round 1-10?
  9. Can someone give me a couple sentence reminder on how the slots work? Don't sign someone in the top 10, lose the slot value. But can distribute the overall slot value in picks round 1-10 however you please? Are there restrictions on picks in round 11+ in terms of overall dollar amount?
  10. 7-2 with a 2.58 ERA this season at Boston College. 11 GS. 73 IP, 65 K, 28 BB.
  11. Dan Metzdorf. Mlb.com does not have a bio.
  12. None of these guys in MLB.com's top 100. More 4th round and on guys to keep an eye on maybe?
  13. I didn't really want Vaughn a couple weeks ago. Its White Soxy for sure, but considering how the first 2 picks went, it was the right choice. I am excited to have him and I hope he rakes him way to Chicago by next summer.
  14. I think we see Abreu sign a 2 years $25M type deal with the Sox either this summer, or early in the offseason. Plays 1B next season, and shifts to DH whenever Vaughn is ready.
  15. Blowing close to 20% of his service time for a handful of starts was idiotic. They could have easily have kept him there until April 2019, and that was always my take even when they brought him up and before he got hurt. It’s spilled milk now, but I hated the move when it happened (tho was excited to watch him pitch!) and hated it even more when he blew his elbow. Is what it is now.
  16. Ok, I guess that is kind of obvious so thought you were getting at something else. Nevermind.
  17. FWIW, he'd be tied for 4th on the team in OBP. I too would rather just roll with Tilson and Cordell and see what we have, but he could be slight upgrade on those 2. That being said, he has no future in this org, and those two may (albeit a small chance). Let him go on his rehab. Maybe he'll be needed due to injury when he's ready. If not, just release him. Or let him play for a couple weeks and see if someone who take the ~$2M off our hands, and then bring Tilson back.
  18. Tilson, despite already being DFA'd once, has an option, so I assume he'd be the one to go down to Charlotte if/when Jay is ready to go. I assume the Sox will give him his full rehab assignment, though.
  19. They already completely screwed the pooch on Kopech (obviously a little different being a pitcher), but they cannot afford another massive fuck up like that.
  20. The bolded seems much more likely than Vaughn or Bleday going #1, in my less than 100% informed opinion.
