  1. That’s right. Thanks for the reminder. Turned into a nice little move.
  2. I mean, Santos was a waiver claim. That turned out OK. Touki was a waiver claim.
  3. I am sure Shaw will be replaced by a waiver claim in no time.
  4. They can bring back Clevinger next year ($12M mutual option), but it’s highly unlikely both sides agree to it. It’s more likely he’s traded in the next few days than both sides of that option getting picked up.
  5. Removing Clevinger because I think its unlikely both sides agree for him to return, 2024 payroll is right around $134M right now including filling out the 26 man roster with pre-arb guys. I used the following arb estimates: Cease: $10M (arb 2) Kopech: $5M (arb 2) Vaughn: $2.5M (arb 1) Crochet: $1M (arb 1) If you wanted to assume the Sox try to compete in 2024 for the sake of discussion, that would give them $50-60M to spend to get into the $180-190M they've been at heading into the last couple seasons. Note the $134M includes the $5.5M in dead money due to Leury, and assumes options on TA and Hendriks are exercised.
  6. I don’t even think Touki will be arb 1. He was barely over 2 years service coming into 23 and wasn’t on an mlb roster enough to get to 3.0 even assuming he sticks on Sox for balance of season obviously.
  7. Sooo Lambert and Clevinger joining Shaw to fill out the roster tomorrow? Lambert and Padilla only 40 man options. Hopefully a waiver claim or two joins the pen next week or so as the options are gross atm and no reason to pitch Bryan Shaw.
  8. I like him. Loved the move. Was a guy I was hoping they'd bring in on an milb deal preseason. Control is an issue, but stuff and talent is not and hes fun to watch. I will be rooting for him to become a legit 2024 rotation option.
  9. Appears Bryan Shaw is rejoining the club as well.
  10. What is ridiculous? That LAD asked the Sox to eat $500k due to Trayce when they're eating $12M due to Lynn and Kelly? The Thompson part of this trade is irrelevant. No idea why so many people are focused on it.
  11. Fangraphs currently has Lee as the 75th best prospect in the game, fwiw.
  12. Fairly certain Yaz won't be playing for the Sox by the game on Tuesday night. Gotta imagine someone will grab him, but Sox going to have to eat some $.
  13. Sorry, hard to know around these parts.
  14. Sox have 3 top 100s now. Should be closer to 15 than 30 now.
  15. Solid get. His name was bandied about here a little in some trade scenarios with the Astros. Move Yaz. Call up Perez and play him 4-5 days a week until Lee is healthy.
  16. Scholtens has honestly earned getting a crack at a starting role. I say give it to him.
  17. Leasure looks like an interesting pen prospect. 1.057 WHIP, 14.4 k/9 v. 4.1 bb/p this season.
  18. Nastrini is a pretty legit prospect, and immediately probably our 2nd best SP prospect. Considering what we gave up and the dollars attached, him alone would have been a win.
  19. 1.50 WHIP in AAA. What could go wrong. Claim Tucker Davidson, please.
  20. Poor guy. Disaster season when there was quite an opportunity in front of him.
