  1. Juan Perez, Alex Presley and Jake Elmore should all be guys the org has no problem cutting. I also doubt Mason Robbins is ever going to have a future with the big league club, but I doubt he'd be first on the chopping block. I'd rather see Trayce get playing time than him, though.
  2. Are they really starting Tomshaw over Guerrero in AA. I know Guerrero has been bad this seson, but Tomshaw is a journeyman nobody. I suppose Puckett will take that spot whenever he ready.
  3. Not a bad scenario. Maybe he can figure it out down there.
  4. Strange. I guess they do have quite the outfield backlog.
  5. As would I, but I don't think that is happening. Gonzalz has been a pumpkin since the Sox traded him to TEX last season. His FIP is over 7.
  6. This is about the only situation that I'd be cool with keeping Migo.
  7. I'd just cut Migo. He serves no purpose on this roster and will have zero trade value.
  8. Although....I wouldn't be shocked if Timmy was a better backstop than Narvaez! Sad part is, I am only half joking.
  9. I think he was going for worst possible defensive lineup.
  10. I'd keep Trayce over Pressley or even May at this point.
  11. Martes was shitty out of the pen last season, and was shitty in AAA this season before hitting the DL on not returning. I'd take him in a deal, but I'd want him to be a secondary piece. At some point soon, the Sox are going to have a real 40 man crunch. I'd prefer getting multiple young upside prospects in the low minors if we're not getting a true blue chipper for Abreu.
  12. I assume we'll see a couple or all of Johnny Giavotella, Alex Presley and Michael Saunders released shortly.
  13. Right. But earlier in the post you were talking about how Shields and Abreu have similar values. That's crazy.
  14. Except one is an over the hill pitcher that has pitched his best baseball in 3 years and is an impending FA. The other is one of the best bats in baseball on a reasonable contract, controlled for another season, and has the ability to get a comp pick out of in 1.5 years. The gap in value is significant, despite what bWAR and fWAR say. I'm not saying that Jose is going to command 2 top 50 prospects, but if he doesn't command at least 1 and another solid flier, he just simply isn't going to be traded.
  15. Dude, this narrative from you gets so old. The sox are rebuilding and there is no reason to sign overpriced FAs at this point to bloat the payroll. That is why the payroll is so slow - not to line the pockets of ownership.
  16. I've always been in the keep Eloy and Kopech down until 2019 bandwagon, but this takes it a bit too far. I want both of them up as soon as the extra year is secured in 2019, roughly 3 weeks into next season. Waiting until the Super 2 deadline would be crazy, IMO, unless both have terrible starts to 2019.
  17. This has been discussed an length on this board. And then at length again. And again. And again. Time to move on.
  18. I'd say KC and Miami definitely have worse rotations.
  19. Projected WAR over controllable time frame X ($ value per 1 WAR) minus projected salary over controllable time frame.
  20. I am moreso surprised the White Sox even made the list, as ESPN generally forgets they even exist.
