  1. Lol its 5 games dude. Relax. Or don't, I don't really care.
  2. Its an 162 game season and they just went into arguably the best team in the AL's home field and split. Sox are fine - its one game.
  3. Saw that, guess I didnt realize he'd be suited up on the MLB staff. Good for him - really enjoyed his interviews as the acting manager in Charlotte last season. Seems like a great dude.
  4. I'd say the first 4 games the teams played with alot more fire than the TLR days. Today...not so much. But every team has stinkers. The half a billion dollar Mets lost 10-0 today. That's just baseball.
  5. Is Julio Mosquera on the staff? Just saw him in the dugout. He isn't listed on the Sox staff on their website. He was acting manager in AAA last year.
  6. Big time stinker. Same thing as losing 3-2 tho. Forget about it and go 3-2 rest of the week.
  7. Welp, that outing aged like a piece of cheese in the sun. Oh well. Go get em next time, Michael.
  8. The same people at Soxtalk that told me Clevingers arm was dead also told me Kopechs arm was dead. lol
  9. I think its probably safe to say Elvis will give you better defense at any infield position than Romy. Elvis has looked good at 2B. Its obviously early, but Elvis has looked poor at the plate including not executing with RISP less than 1 out situations a few times. I see no problem with giving Romy at bats there if Elvis isn't hitting to let him try to earn that spot back. Obviously this is a larger picture thing, I am not suggesting they just ditch the Elvis 2B experiment less than a week into the season. But I do think Romy deserves a start at 2B in this series; I personally would have had him in there today. This is coming from a guy that had zero issue whatsoever with signing Elvis for $3M, and think he adds value to this roster even if he's not hitting much. Realistically, outside of a hot few weeks with the Sox last season, Elvis hasn't hit much for a half decade, so I am not surprised.
  10. Would have liked to see Romy at 2B today, but I dig it. Go Sox!
  11. Yoan has already amassed 0.5 fWAR in 4 games. Good for third in baseball behind Adam Duvall and Wander Franco at 0.6.
  12. Yep. Frankly, Robert has looked lost in the box for the vast majority of his MLB career, yet he's been 22% above average during that time. Just goes to show you the kind of upside this guy has if he can stay healthy and if things ever do really click for him offensively.
  13. Tanner Banks was extremely protected last year and undoubtedly would get absolutely smoked with a larger sample. There’s a reason he’s almost 32 and basically a career minor leaguer.
  14. Series split @ Houston is nothing but a W. Yoan is hitting and Yaz has a pulse. Clevinger looked good. Cease looked like a Cy candidate and Lucas was solid. Pen and situational hitting needs work, but that’s a start all of us should be pleased with.
  15. Andrus move was fine. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t let Romy play some 2B if Elvis isn’t going to hit. Also Luis - - wow!!
  16. Sox ought to cut this Moncada stiff, eh @Lip Man 1? ???
  17. Clevinger looked good. Soxtalk told me his arm looked dreadful in ST. He hit 96 a couple times and was sitting mid 90s.
  18. Well they paid him accordingly. Having Elvis around shouldn’t preclude the Sox from trying their other options. They have several tbh.
  19. Sample size pretty small at this point with plenty of positive signs. Offensive execution has been putrid, but get the W today which is very much in play and a split in houston is a pretty strong outcome.
