Amado Nunez drew 3 walks too

QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 02:24 PM) It was the wrong move. Sale had plenty left. As soon as the first guy got on, you knew what was likely to happen. It did. He has had several bad outings. He is not a "lights out" closer. What if he leaves Sale in the game and he coughs it up?

QUOTE (harkness @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 02:02 PM) If it was anything but a 1-0 game I MIGHT have put in Robertson. I don't give a flying eff what I'm paying Robertson. Win the game. I'll put Robertson in when its the right move not just because I paid him (Robertson has been far from money lately) But at the least I let Sale start the inning. Pitch counts are so overrated. It was the right move, he's one of the best closers in the game. He had a rare bad outing.
-
I would've taken Sale out too, he threw 125 pitches his last start and you're playing a guy $11M to close games out in Robertson, who has been money but unfortunately had a bad outing.

QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) Abreu has been a major disappointment too honestly. How, nobody throws him pitches to hit. He's basically been neutralized due to the or performances of the players around him. Even with that being said he's having a good year

Long time advocate of Avi batting second.

There's some serious talent on the AZL team. Even Luis Castillo. ...

Rick Hahn is the last person you should blame

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) The only trade Hahn made in the offseason was bad. Otherwise, he just signed 4 players, 2 of whom are good, 1 bad and 1 so-so. He also missed the opportunity to peddle Alexei. He wasn't able to make small trades to improve C. He put together a terrible bench. The Shark trade was not bad, the Sox got a legit #2 for a few fringe prospects. Actually it was a very good trade. I have said this before and I'll say it again, there is a serious lack of impact Cs across MLB. Teams with good depth at catcher are not going to trade whatever able bodies they have at the position. There are 25 GMs who are not satisfied with their catching situation. If you're going into the season expecting to contend, why trade Alexi? LaRoche was a smart move, one of the few guys on the team doing what he's supposed to do. Robertson has been great too. Hahn had a great offseason, this season rest on the players, that's who I blame. -

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 10:44 AM) When I think about the Sox and the 2016 draft I think, hitters hitters hitters! Any interesting prep/college hitters to keep an eye on? http://www.baseballamerica.com/high-school...ica-game-index/

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 02:33 PM) Unfortunately, with the way they're pitching right now, they don't exactly have the look of "team that really needs to add a starting pitcher". They could use a first baseman and I think the Sox have a 28 year old there who's pretty good and could bring a huge return.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 04:40 PM) Anything on Tatis Jr? Probably in the $750,000 to $900,000 range but that's just a guess, definitely not a $1M player

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 12:42 AM) Jeremy Haber. He was formerly known as assistant to the General Manager and was promoted to Assistant GM. Buddy Bell is also an assistant GM (though a VP as well). Haber has been praised for handling the Todd Steverson hiring process and working hand in hand with Dan Fabian. I want to see Rick Hahn bring in more of his own people into the FO. I like Haber from what I've read, he seems to be another Hahn, in terms of their backgrounds. It's funny that people think of the Sox being a backwards organization, but with guys like Hahn, Fabian and Haber in the org that's not the case.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 12:01 AM) It's funny that you direct your angst with the guy who is leading the team in on-base percentage. One of the few guys on the team that's doing what's he's supposed to do.

QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 10:45 PM) and how is he doing??? 5.0IP 1H 0R 0ER 3BB 5K 80PT-49STR

Watching Puk pitch right now against Virginia. Edit: He reminds me of Bumgarner at first glance with a downhill delivery, he really uses his height to his advantage.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 02:26 PM) Bighead becomes CEO for literally doing nothing. The American Dream has come true! All while Gavin Belson becomes a nobody. So satisfying. I loved the scene in the bathroom, where Gavin ties Richard's tie. Gavin showed an ounce of humanity but he immediately destroys that by being a dick

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 04:54 AM) Won't Monica just end up switching sides and joining with Richard and Bachmann...? Seems that's the only logical way to keep the show moving forward. Or Gavin Belson offers Reviga even more money than they just paid Delorean Wing Door Guy to get 60% control...but then he has to to work with Richard again? Unless Monica invested some of her own money into Pied Piper, her seat belongs to Reviga. I think that Bagetti becomes CEO of Huli and after failing miserably he brings in Richard and the team to realize Nucleus and they take down the Reviga Pied Piper

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 12:13 AM) Well that's awesome. So you saw 1 or 2 episodes then? I saw 2, he has the first three. I'm not going to watch the third, two was enough for me. I still want to share the sense of discovery with everybody else. EDIT: If you live Michael Mann, Chinatown and The Wire you're going to love it.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 12:14 AM) Silicon Valley season finale, someone help me figure this out.... His girlfriend held a seat. He gave her one during their first board meeting. Monica + Awkward Woman + Awkward Woman's Assistant = Revina

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 08:01 PM) How were you able to screen the first couple episodes? My Film partner's brother in law is an agent and his father is a famous producer, he had a screener and he let me watch it.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 06:18 PM) I think if one of the starting OFs goes down he could get the call I think he could be a good 4th OFer

If the White Sox are out of it at the deadline.....

QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 06:19 PM) the biggest let down which in my opinion has done more harm is Eaton, LaRoche and Flowers. the fiasco at 2b could have been absorb if everybody else was hitting. even conor batting at what he has hasn't help. Eaton got off to a bad start but since then he had been playing pretty well, don't let his current batting average full you. LaRoche is having a good year too, he's good with the glove (one of the few guys you can depend on in that department), he is more that willing to go deep into counts and he takes his walks. I expect him to heat up add the season goes on. I thought that was a good signing and I still feel that. And don't people understand that across the league there are few quality catchers, catcher has become the most scarce position in the game across all levels. While Flowers is not one of the better players on the team and the Sox want to improve at the position, there are 25 other teams saying the same thing -
QUOTE (spiderman @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 05:56 PM) Exactly. I'm leaning in this direction as elite as Sale is. I realize it won't happen. The White Sox are more likely to continue tinkering around the edges. That could work as well, but I think the Cubs should be a model for the White Sox. The Sox can not do the Cubs did, the fanbase won't allow it.

Does Thompson get the call at some point this season?
