  1. This is the best Bears season in a long time. They have a QB worth building around long term. They have the most cap space in the league. And they have the 1st overall pick. A+ season. A+ first year of a rebuild.
  2. What about Rougned Odor for the Sox? A platoon with Sosa and him is intriguing.
  3. Some more good AAAA depth guys please. I like this signing for the Sox.
  4. I still have a hard time believing that the Sox are serious about winning and I doubt the Front Office when they say they’re trying to make the team better when Leury Garcia is still on the roster. Getting rid of him, makes them better instantly.
  5. Conforto was never an option for the Sox once they signed Benintendi. They need to add a RH bat to balance out the OF guys, I like Adam Duvall.
  6. He’s a bad defender at C, he’s played outfielder before and like I said, the bat is special.
  7. If the Mets want Hendriks and if I’m the Sox, I need Kevin Parada to come back to me in any deal. He’s probably a LF in the big leagues but the bat is great. Move him from behind the dish because the bat is so good.
  8. They don’t need another LHH OFer. They needed a right handed hitter there.
  9. OFers can be valuable without being able to hit for power. He’s going to be a plus defender in CF and a plus plus runner, and he can hit for average. I think he has a really high floor but is a high ceiling guy as well.
  10. The starting OF is already complete but I’d like to see them get a RHH 4th OF to platoon for Colas against lefties. Bonus points if it’s someone who’s OBP oriented.
  11. I wouldn’t be against this as it would mean that the Sox would be getting some good prospect capital coming their way if they take on a lot of his salary. Id hope the Sox sign a veteran backup like Tucker Barnhart who’s solid at calling games and hits from the left side.
  12. My favorite guy in the class right now is Jacob Wilson. High contact guy who doesn’t strike out, great OBP guy as he also takes his walks. He can play SS, 3B and LF. He hit 12 homers last year after hitting 4 as a freshman. BA has him has a top ten player but prep guys always rise late into the draft and teams always look to take deals in the top ten, it’s not out of realm of possibility that he falls into the teens. I like Enrique Bradfield, Hurston Waldrep, Rhett Lowder, and Kevin McGonigle for the Sox. The Sox could tap into any demographic with this pick but they need to add some more position players into the system after going arm heavy this past draft. They also need to keep adding athletes and up the middle guys into the system, especially with their high picks
  13. With another draft and international class.m, the Sox system will be pretty interesting come July. It takes about 3 or 4 years to rebuild a farm, and the upcoming draft will be Shirley’s third full draft as Scouting Director and I’m very pleased by him and Marco Paddy. I just wished they could’ve drafted and developed guys like this during the rebuild.
  14. Want to make this event more exciting? Allow teams to trade picks
  15. If the Braves offered Vaughn Grissom and Bryce Elder for Tim Anderson, I'm making that deal if I were Rick Hahn
  16. They probably had to create a title and promote him to get him here. So I’m looking at it as if they 3 hitting coaches
  17. I was board on Thanksgiving and I did a deep dive on Andrew Benintendi. And I really want the Sox to sign him, I may actually like him better than Nimmo for the Sox because he has more of a track record when it comes to staying healthy. Nimmo has 7 years as a pro and he’s only played 100 games in the league 3 times. I’m counting 2020 where he played 55 games out of 60. That’s 91% of the season and that comes out to 149 games in a 162 game season. Whereas Benintendi has played over 100 games in 5 out of his 7 seasons. So he’s a more reliable player. Like Nimmo, he addresses a lot of the Sox issues. He gets on base, he has a reputation of being a solid defender and he’s left handed. I wouldn’t be mad if the Sox were aggressive and tried to sign him before the Winter Meetings.
  18. I agree but I wouldn’t be mad if they signed Clevinger, especially on a one year prove it deal. Plus, I’m of the mind that the Sox need to sign TWO starters. That second starter could be a lefty, a 4/5/6 starter type. Guys like Quintana, Yarbrough, Smyly, Boyd.
  19. I think they created the title for Tosar so they would be able to get him out of KC. I imagine that Tosar would oversee the hitting coach(es).
  20. I guess the Sox should stop signing LH sluggers just because Dunn and LaRoche didn’t work out too
