  1. Keith Law’s report on Gray: “Gray’s season is just getting underway in Iowa, so he has more opportunity to improve his stock than anyone else on this list. He’s a switch hitter who makes a ton of hard contact and shows plus power now, and he runs well for a catcher — which is good because he’s probably not a catcher. The bat looks like it will profile in right field, and he might end up in the top two rounds with a strong spring/summer.”
  2. Keith Law really likes him but he said that he would immediately move him off of C because he wouldn’t want to waste the special bat. Law said he’s a good athlete too IIRC
  3. The Paul George/SGA trade is one for the books.
  4. If they can get more Jeral Perez/Alexander Albertus type players that would be ideal. Teenage prospects, who ideally play up the middle, are the currency of the game right now
  5. Pallette is fine. It seems like he’s having issues with the AAA ball
  6. To me Andrew Vaughn represents everything about that was wrong about the previous iteration of the White Sox. He was a 1B/DH taken with a top 3 pick (ahead of Riley Greene, CJ Abrams, and Corbin Carroll), bad strike zone judgement, lack of power, and no defensive value whatsoever. I read the reports about him not being a good teammate or a hard worker, maybe Lance Lynn rubbed off on him. Truly one of the worst players I’ve ever seen. I’m glad the Sox were able to get something of value for him, but I was a proponent of them non tendering him in the offseason and moving on but I’ll give the front office their flowers on the trade they made.
  7. I’d rather them draft Ike Irish. I know LaViolette is good in CF but give me the sure bat, even if it’s a corner profile.
  8. Carlos Gomez was one of the best players in the world for a short period of time. From 2011-2015, be put up 19 bWAR. He put up 12.3 bWAR in 2013 and 2014. He was unreal those two seasons.
  9. I’m excited for this but shocked they haven’t called up Pallette
  10. I don’t think the Sox being so cautious with Hagen Smith is a bad thing. Getz/Bannister have shown to be very conservative when it comes to taking care of arms.
  11. Didn’t he just start playing OF?
  12. Mississippi State, educated guess
  13. I’d rather have Parker. Give me the guy who’s the better hitter, and a year younger and we’ll figure out the rest.
  14. I would’ve let Smith stay out there but I get why you’d take him out. For both game reasons and for protecting his arm
  15. He’s definitely a starter going forward.
  16. This is really encouraging because I want them to start loading up on prep bats in the draft
  17. Good. I wonder what his launch angle is like because he hits so many ground balls
  18. They got to sign a veteran closer this winter, even if they end up trading him at the deadline. They have to sign someone who has ample experience closing out games. I think a problem with the pen is that the guys currently here are pitching in roles they have no business being in currently.
  19. I thought Plesac was pretty good today.
  20. I was about to say… The 2021-2024 Sox, probably 40% of that payroll went to the bullpen.
  21. I really like Alec Blair with that second round pick. He's a prep outfielder from California. He's really skinny and frail but he's 6'6 and has shown lots of power potential from the left side. He checks the boxes on a lot of the Sox's biggest needs. He's a lefty. He's an outfielder. And he's a plus athlete, he's committed to play both baseball and basketball at Oklahoma. He has never devoted himself to baseball full time, so he's very intriguing. I like Jojo Parker's brother too, maybe the Sox end up with both brothers.
  22. I don’t need to see Leasure anymore. He has no command. He has no control. Send him down and call up Pallette
  23. Not surprising. Outside of Robert, who are the power hitters on the roster? Power is probably their biggest need at ML level and in the farm system.
  24. Jojo Parker is too, the Soc have been scouting the Southeast pretty hard lately
  25. He played on the White Sox area code team, which is still coached by JJ Lally if I’m not mistaken. On that team, he was teammates with Jaden Fauske.
