  1. Before I learn to appreciate Garrett Crochet,
  2. It has to be the Angels. This changes everything.
  3. Which is something that they desperately need to add into the system
  4. Everyone should watch this. It sums up my feelings on everything that has been going on. I couldn’t have said it better myself, especially the ending.
  5. Something that doesn’t work only for the rich and kill and impoverish black and brown people. We’re about to find out but I will say and tell everyone is that when people say “Defund the police” or “Abolish the police” they’re not calling to the end of law enforcement, they’re calling for an entire revamp of the system as it is currently. I’ve been telling people that we have to keep fighting but we can’t forget about the courts, judges and prosecutors.

  7. They didn't learn a new position but they were/are projects in their own right. I'll take the guy who can rake and has a high ceiling every time
  8. Tim Anderson and Luis Robert say hello. Also, Soderstrom is better than Bush, Curbelo, Delgado and Fisher. Soderstrom’s bat is so good, that it would be a waste to have him play C. Move him to the OF or 3rd and have him rake his way up. I would be surprised if he’s a fast riser. Id rather draft someone who I have to worry about power, than draft someone with a suspect hit tool and plus power. And of course he’s going to take some work to develop, he’s 18.
  9. Tyler Soderstrom actually has above average athleticism going for him. He's nothing like those guys you mentioned.
  10. I want to see Reid Detmers after a year of being in an MLB strength program and after a year of being exposed to a team's pitching lab. While he does have one killer pitch in his curveball, he doesn't have elite stuff but he does have average tools across the board. When the last true pitchability guy the Sox had or developed?
  11. Tanner Witt is out of the draft.
  12. You know what's really telling... Walmart has pulled all guns and ammunition off their shelves in response to the protesting and rioting that has been happening. The website to apply for a FOID card is down for maintenance. There are white supremacists marching the streets hurting people of color and we can't even arm ourselves. Every time a white kid shoots up a school, Walmart has never even considered pulling their guns off the shelves.
  13. A must read article by Ta-Neshi Coates of the Atlantic (he also just ended his run on Black Panther for Marvel). https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/06/the-case-for-reparations/361631/
  14. You don’t have to thank me. I hope I was able to get some people to look outside themselves and see how the world treats minorities, especially black men and women. As a black person it’s frustrating that I have to do this so often. There’s someone from the forum who I talked to this this weekend and confronted because their immediate reaction to the protesting wasn’t the murder and brutality by the police but the property damage that happened in the city. I tried telling this person that there’s opportunist that are hijacking the movement to loot and steal but they kept blaming BLM and the protestors. I’m ashamed of myself for continuing to engage that person but a lost cause is a lost cause and I won’t make that mistake again. I hope that person gets that upset every time an innocent person of color is killed by the police but who am I kidding. If you want help out what’s going on, check out this link which will put you in contact with petitions and funding campaigns for some of black people who have recently been killed at the hands of police officers. Here’s the link: https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/ While all this talk surrounding the MURDER of George Floyd is happening, we can’t get forget the MURDER of Breonna Taylor. She was an EMT and she was murdered by three police officers who busted the wrong residence. The police officers are still on the force at this moment in Louisville. Her donation fund is here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/9v4q2-justice-for-breonna-taylor I’ve been on the ground a lot the past five or six days doing what I can to help out the cause and to help other people across the city by doing supply runs and offering up shelter. This is the beginning of something and I’m proud to be a part of it.
  15. These are 8 steps I’d like to see taken but that’s just the first step, there’s more to be done. I’ve seen s lot if videos of cops doing this online but not on TV or other news outlets.
  16. I can’t feel if you’re being facetious but yes, not just in Minneapolis but nationwide, worldwide.
  17. There’s a dying lemon tree at my family’s house, it still sprouts a few good lemons every once in a while but because it’s a dying tree most of the lemons turn out to be shit. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the system, from the ground up.
  18. Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense. You're right that there’s people out there who are looking for a paycheck but a good police officer shouldn’t have anything to worry about and should welcome their day in court, you know that due process a lot of unarmed black people are denied because they’re killed by police officers. I said it earlier in this thread, black people have been protesting peacefully for years and no real progress have been made. The only certainty when black people protest peacefully is that white talking heads/general public is going to accuse them of being disrespectful being over dramatic. If that didn’t work, what else is there to do? What will it take for real progress to be made? What will it take for black people’s lives to be valued? *Again, a lot of the violence and rioting has been caused by opportunist but if another black person told me they were going to riot to get their point across, I would totally understand them because the other way has only accomplished so much.
