"Harper's on his way"???? That's a bold-ass statement ...
-
Perhaps he literally deactivated. Any chance DanClarkSports was a Twitter AI bot? Not a very good one, mind you, but a bot nonetheless.

I wonder if "he who shall not be named" realizes in just how many heads he's living rent-free.

Can you use your powers to redirect them into a new thread?

For the love of God, Manny ... please do something and save us from Chiefs Talk.

But, hey … it's THE VinnyCap.

11. Certify that you are not now, nor have you ever been Scott Boras. -
And if he doesn't sign with the White Sox, then we didn't hear it here first? Sounds pretty up to par with his financial reporting, actually.
-
He's a freaking CNBC financial blowhard. Just another carnival barker.
-
But hopefully no crossfire.

Thought it might be fun to shake things up a little ... ?

Imagine ... Eloy in LF, Harper in RF and this guy in CF.

Rosenthal: Could Harper be headed to the southside
skooch replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Honestly, he would be doing a disservice to his client to play it any other way. -

Keep as many players at the table as possible. The more suitors (real or perceived) the more it benefits them. Boras is playing a game. The next meaningful thing Boras says will be when he announces who he will finally sign with. -

Maddon to spend more time on coaching this year
skooch replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Joe Maddon ... the man, the myth, the legend. The media rock star spending less time in front of the fawning Chicago media? Ok, Joe ... but try not to suck. -
Players on arbitration contracts who are cut on or before the 16th day of Spring Training are owed 30 days' termination pay (based on the prorated version of his agreed-upon arbitration salary). A player cut between the 16th day and the end of Spring Training is owed 45 days' termination pay (based on the prorated version of his agreed-upon arbitration salary). The arbitration salary becomes guaranteed if the player is on the 25-man roster when the season begins. Non guaranteed contract

You forgot to mention that there's only one (or possibly two) of these deep fryers and they are very popular with the other GMs. Also, this particular brand of deep fryer likes to be around other expensive appliances in order to increase its chances of appearing on Food Network. Rick is still sporting a kitchen filled with green and yellow appliances, each of which contains an analog clock.

TA as C Don't feel too bad, Greg. It's still not as good as someone else's suggestion to play Avi at 3B. -

C'mon ... nothing beats playing Tim Anderson at catcher. I'll take that one to my grave. -
Arizona Fall League - Running Thread - Opens 10/9
skooch replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in FutureSox Board
From this angle it looks like he actually hit the ball out of the stadium. It heads toward the sign in the outfield but I can't see it bouncing back into the field or down on to the berm. -
Rick Renteria Signs Contract Extension, length unknown
skooch replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's not that, it's the message it sends to big name free agents who have already admitted that they don't want to play hard every play. If signing them is already an uphill battle, why make the job even harder when you don't have to?
