  1. A AAAA guy, another AAAA guy, and a guy that can't play the OF without being an injury risk to himself, or to others, and who is bordering on bust status because of it. Hell of a job White Sox.
  2. He'll be noticeably absent for the next week then he'll be IL'd retroactively.
  3. Desperation moves more than anything IMO. It's not like either are being replaced with better options. If they were only going to ride the pine in Chicago, it's better that they go play every day in Charlotte. Maybe they can rebuild some confidence? Who knows. But it's not like any of the coaches really know what they are doing at this point.
  4. Is there a negative WAR stat equivalent for GM track records? Because...
  5. If we gotta be bad, at least we get fun? Colás was struggling mightily, and sitting on the bench in Chicago isn't doing him any good. I'm bothered by how they handled him too, but what can we do?
  6. Why do you think they hate us so much?
  7. I would think JR's statements yesterday said all we need to know. Nothing is changing and no one's job is at risk.
  8. Forgot he existed for a sec. He's better in the field, but hardly worth giving regular ABs. Gotta love an org that prioritizes depth.
  9. So instead of Robert killing himself covering for Sheets, he and Eloy get to risk killing each other on every ball in the gap. Hooray.
  10. Sheets starting in RF every day again? If Robert weren't already having leg issues, this will surely compound the issue...
  11. I’m speaking only of this year playing his natural position.
  12. The streak of consecutive series losses is still intact, never you fear.
  13. The most infuriating part is how he tries to wash his hands of the failures of the baseball ops people, knowing full well he has his tendrils deep in that front office, infecting every aspect of the org. He has the power to replace the FO with competent baseball people but simply refuses because his sycophants are totally on board with his money making above all else scheme. TLR is the prime example of JR’s interference with baseball ops, but he gets to gaslight us because his billions insulate him from any accountability.
  14. f*** JR You’ve milked this fanbase for billions. Cash out and sell the damn team already…
  15. If anyone has any illusions about where Jerry stands on all of this, I implore you to read through all of these quotes. Fair warning though, they are pretty infuriating. This team will never win anything ever again with him as chairman.
  16. In case you haven’t noticed, they just lost 10 straight, are 13 games under, haven’t won a single series in the first month, and are a laughingstock. I’m not trying to tell anyone how to be a fan, but anyone here “waving a white flag” or “screaming the sky is falling” is doing so with ample evidence to suggest this team is dead, dysfunctional, and going nowhere fast. If you’d like to ignore the last 10 months or so of baseball this team has played, by all means. But maybe don’t drag fans who see the big picture and have endured enough of this team’s bullshit.
  17. I am 100% rooting for the losses to pile up. I don’t actually enjoy my favorite team losing all of the time, but that misery is familiar. I am merely convinced that JR is an impediment to winning, and any decent stretch of games delays the house cleaning that is desperately needed. I don’t have any belief that JR does this of course, which just makes me double down on wanting this dysfunctional s%*# show to burn all the way down. Let them be a national embarrassment every single day until he sells or passes.
  18. All I am saying he hasn’t been good to this point, especially on defense. He’s not finished product yet so there is still hope that he can that middle of the order power bat he was projected to be coming into the draft.
  19. This is one area where Beckham can actually provide helpful insight. He’s much better when he doesn’t have to fill dad air, or feels the need to fill dead air. They both are spot on here and it really speaks to the dysfunction still going in inside the locker room.
  20. Are we really sure that he does? What if it was all just a fever dream?
  21. Even if everyone else hit their full potential, Vaughn as is would still be a disappointment. Granted, the team wouldn’t be so dependent on his production but it would still be suboptimal for his position.
