  1. Shows how much I pay attention to them.
  2. They were certainly a dumpster fire when he was there. But when are they not?
  3. Did he ever get a buy-in in the first place?
  4. Sorry DVS, but the Sox *are* the easy part of the schedule for other teams at this point. Not sure they can bank on facing "easier" teams to make much of a difference.
  5. If you were a new owner walking into the Chairman’s office at 35th & Shields for the first time and were set to meet with the current Sox brass, is there even any one of them that you would keep around? Is there anything anywhere in the org worth keeping? Is there one single thing a new executive could identify that they currently do well? I’m hard pressed to find one single thing on the baseball operations side I would keep in place. Aside from Roger Bossard and the reputation for having top notch ballpark food, what does this org do well in any way?
  6. This is all sound thinking. A full tear down/sell off/tank will be a multiple year effort. If Robert breaks out on a tanking team maybe his value jumps. If not he doesn’t cost you a ton and you at least have a stellar defensive CF.
  7. That brief moment where he looked like a productive player again, savour it, we likely won’t be seeing it again.
  8. Dear White Sox, *YOU* are the chumps, in case you haven’t noticed…
  9. Nope, Tribune really couldn’t give a s%*# about the Sox, and the Sun Times is pretty toothless. JR doesn’t seem to care about any new/online media, and he has Bob to launder his org’s image on a national stage. They are pretty insulated. It will take the level of toxicity boiling over the way it did with the Bulls along with dismal attendance and sagging merch sales. Something along those lines.
  10. Fire GarPax signs at the AllStar game in Chicago might have contributed too, but I might have my timeframe wrong.
  11. There were fire Tony chants the Sox home opener cuz we didn’t know what else to chant.
  12. <5K at the park all summer will have more impact than the record. They will blame us either way. They will always find a way to reach a new bottom.
  13. Too bad neither the major or minor league teams are worth watching.
  14. Plenty of reason to rip on Hahn without veiled sexism. Come on now.
  15. Replace the Simpsons family with the entire Sox FO…
  16. I expected a worse club in ‘23, but not a bottom dweller. Whatever anger or grief I felt over the past week+ is gone. Apathy is setting in early and I frankly welcome it.
  17. Can we fire the whole organization into the sun?
  18. Nope. If they win any of the next 6 it will be a small miracle. Even the Twins series looks daunting. If we thought that 8 game losing streak last season was demoralizing…
  19. I expected the worst but the Cease win actually had me feeling the slightest hope. Getting out with a split felt good after the two losses. But then the home opener happened and all positive vibes were swiftly stripped away for me. Circling the drain since.
  20. The Houston series feels like ages ago now. Escaping 2-2 actually felt something remotely resembling hope. Too bad it will be the high water mark in 2023.
  21. No Jon, this should read TLR wasn't the White Sox *only* issue in 2022. Let's not let anyone whitewash how awful TLR was, how he was always the wrong fit, and how poor a decision it was to drag is pickled corpse out of retirement. Brining him back set the franchise back, but so did the decision to go backwards by hiring him. He was catastrophically bad, but was also a symptom of the greater illness.
  22. The current draft pool slot system has been in effect since what, 2015 or 2016? And in that time the Sox tanked and had several years worth of high draft picks. Yet in all of that time they still don’t have a competent minor league system producing MLB regulars. Not even superstars, just average major leaguers. Fire the whole fucking front office into the sun already.
