But our team is absolute dog s%*#. Such a comparison isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. If it were a 100 game sample size instead of 30, I might feel better. But Vargas is a very mediocre headliner.

A .735 OPS isn't *terrible* from a 2B, but Getz better have gotten something more high end.

I don't think there is zero interest or desire to win, it's simply far lower on the priority list. And falls lower and lower as the years go by. The wanting is more of an aspiration over doing the hard work to achieve it scenario. If the way he wants to operate leads to winning, great, but winning does not and will not trump him operating his way.
