  1. Cross the Mariners off your list. Starting pithing is the least of their worries. If they trade from their prospect wealth, its for bats, and or high leverage relievers.
  2. Guessing it was a prior commitment, but NBA Summer League isn't exactly high profile. Of course the Sox brass is fine with it.
  3. The fact that they have spent in the past? Granted, we don't know if Christopher Illitch will spend like his father, but they have a better history with FA spending that the White Sox do. Trading Skubal now seems rather premature.
  4. Tigers are in a far different spot than the White Sox, and have ownership that has and will spend. Skubal talk is just that IMO, talk. Crochet and Skubal are in totally different situations and I don’t see why Detroit even entertains the idea of a trade.
  5. Everyone is hitting terribly. But Pham might be a bigger negative than a positive for that clubhouse.
  6. They aren’t calling up Locklear, they are giving Vosler a look instead.
  7. Their positional prospects are too far away to help his year. They need hitting help right now. Their starting staff could carry them to the World Series if they could just score runs.
  8. Pressure isn't the word, as there is no accountability is this org. What Getz does or doesn't do this deadline is likely to have to most impact on team success in the near future. He needs to get it right, or he could set the rebuild back by years. But at the end of the day, he'll still be here even if he fucks it up.
  9. If it keeps them from rushing a prospect that isn’t ready yet, I’m good with it.
  10. Have to imagine DeJong is on his way out.
  11. I defer to those who actually pay attention to this stuff, but on the surface it seems very underwhelming.
  12. Chris Getz fucks up his first draft as GM. Oh goddamnit, this came true didn't it? f***.
  13. Surprised to see Detroit so high, considering Kirk Gibson is a really tough listen. Must mean Jason is really good. (He is) And when the call in the booth matches the atrocious product on the field, it should come as no surprise Schrif is ranked dead last. He is really bad.
  14. Amongst the many reasons not to, please keep the kid as far away from this colossal mess as possible.
  15. If he had any self respect he would resign. But he chugs along helming the worst team in franchise history as if he doesn’t have a hand in his mess.
  16. Makes me like it even more if they gained some savings to sign someone over slot later on.
  17. I have zero faith in the Sox ability to scout and develop hitting, so I’m not upset with the pick of a pitcher. But I 100% agree that acquiring hitting must be a focus in later rounds and at the deadline.
  18. Can’t wait for Getz to f*** up his first draft ?
  19. Unless they intend to use him in the pen for the rest of the year, the M’s aren’t a good fit. They desperately need multiple offensive pieces, and burning trade assets elsewhere doesn’t make sense.
  20. San Diego is a fringe Wild Card team *with* Arraez and a hell of a lot more talent than anywhere in the White Sox org.
  21. Neither of whom would have moved the needle when the rest of the roster is this bad.
