I think the players reluctantly bought into TLR because of his resume, but it didn't take long for things in the clubhouse to go south. It was already toxic when Pedro took over, and it sure doesn't look like anyone bought into his BS. It took even less time for him to prove that he had no clue what he was doing, and the toxicity began boiling over.
Ricky was a bad game manager, but the players played hard for him and by every indication were a tight group behind the scenes. The unraveling began the moment the TLR rumors started swirling and the downward spiral ensued.
