  1. Not that I have seen. Hasn't yet been 2 weeks since it was announced, though I'd expect it fairly soon.
  2. "November 4, 2019: Granted Free Agency." Hasn't been on the roster for 2 months. Why does this necessitate its own thread?
  3. And I would think the Sox are gonna do what is best for them. If McCann is on the roster he is Gio's personal catcher. Lets not go messing with what worked so well last season.
  4. Nats signing two infielders in a matter of days , sure looks like it. Please ATL!
  5. https://sports.yahoo.com/oscar-colas-the-cuban-ohtani-is-coming-to-mlb-and-everybodys-going-to-want-him-195153235.html
  6. Other than Passan saying he is "one of the best prospects to emerge from Cuba in years," don't know much more than that.
  7. This is basically where I am too. Madrigal was really good in his 29 games in Charlotte last summer, but not in an eye popping knock your socks off dominant fashion that begged for an immediate call up. If the FO sees fit to offer his a team friendly deal I won't complain, but he is much more wait and see to me. I don't think anyone one can really argue against with a few more weeks of seasoning in AAA before making his debut.
  8. McCann's first half last season earned him an AllStar spot. But playing all season without an adequate backup really showed in the 2nd half. He has to know that any good team needs two quality catchers, and that he will still get plenty of starts in 2020. He also has the Sox best pitcher in his corner. If that is untenable I don't even know what to say.
  9. I too won't believe that McCann is unhappy until it comes from an actual Sox source.
  10. I believe he was traded to Texas and has since been released.
  11. Same. 3/$24 are fine numbers, but not for a 35 y/o.
  12. The 1995 replacement Sox were further insult to injury.
  13. Oh I remember! That damn strike broke my childhood heart! #WhatCouldHaveBeen
  14. 2020 Sox don't have a prime Frank Thomas. And while the rest of the roster is young and super exciting its tough to call them better than that 1993 team. Still my favorite non 2005 club. 1993 was just stacked.
  15. He and YoYo are gonna go 1st to 3rd on a lot base hits too. Can't wait!
  16. I'm kind of torn in between, but really I want both. 2005 lives forever. But its been way too long since we've seen post season baseball on the Southside. I want as many chances to win it all as possible.
  17. I live so close to the park that its always just easy to walk over and snag tix from the box office. But w/ the Robert signing and other additions I really wanted to finally make it to an Opening Day. ??
  18. Just bought 10 game pack including Opening Day! My first ever Opening Day!!
  19. Agree. I like ATL's future much better than Minny's.
