  1. If Vuc expects to get more touches on offense this team is worse off than I thought.
  2. They kept a mediocre aging center that doesn’t move the needle. Not exactly something to celebrate. Nor is keeping Vuc simply because they handcuffed themselves and didn’t have a better option. Running this team back isn’t a winning strategy, it’s merely doubling down on the deep deep hole they’ve dug themselves. All while delaying the long and painful, but necessary, process of starting over.
  3. Another day, another JR led org embracing overpriced mediocrity...
  4. The upper minors are barren and devoid of talent. It’s worse than the big club. They still can’t scout, draft, or develop, and unless you want to trade Cease and Robert, you have nothing to jumpstart the next rebuild. TA, Gio, Lynn, Moncada, Kelly, or Liam aren’t bringing back impact talent either. This org is completely fucked, and look no further than the dopes in charge. We won’t see competitive baseball on the Southside for at least 5 years. It’s that dire.
  5. No. There is no easy fix. This is worst case scenario territory. I hope we enjoyed that ALC title from a few years ago, because that was the peak for this bunch.
  6. Fire Rick Hahn today, let KW make the fire sale trades, then get to work putting feelers out for replacements with actual baseball acumen. This season is lost, as are likely the next few. There is no simple quick fix, and any attempt is merely delaying the inevitable.
  7. Which is why this org is completely fucked.
  8. I believe there is still a cap hold for your own guys which complicated matters. I barely pay attention to the NBA any more so perhaps someone more knowledgeable can shine light on what is possible.
  9. I don’t think they have much cap space to throw a larger contract around. Probably not enough for a difference maker. I just laugh at the notion that AK has the green light to go into the tax when they have bumped right up against it the past season+ and refused to add anything that would put them over. So instead they will resign Vuc and lazily run it back, locking themselves into more mediocrity with no way to improve for the foreseeable future. Such inspiring profit over winning we get from JR owned teams..:

    Ohtani

Before the rebuild flopped and the FO/org proved to be completely incompetent, I agree Harper or Machado come here if the money were right. This org is it’s current state, this putrid festering wreck with zero hope or direction, I just don’t see anyone coming unless the offer blows every other out of the water.
  11. Can’t wait for another draft in which the sit-on-their-hands-iest org in the association once again sits on their hands and doesn’t improve the roster one bit.

    Ohtani

Yup. It would take a Cohen like new owner to completely transform how this entire franchise operates before a marquee FA ever considered coming here. Ohtani + this current team isn’t winning anything, and why would he burn more of his prime waiting for the roster to be good enough when he just left the same situation?

    Would that even be enough?

    A) The names Albert Belle and Shohei Ohtani shouldn’t be uttered in the same sentence. B) Even if the White Sox made a legit offer that didn’t get them laughed out of the conference room, why the f*** would Ohtani come to this wreck of a franchise?
  15. Seriously, what the f*** is this nonsense? Are you seriously blaming fans for the state of this sorry org? GTFO.
  16. Did you expect KW to do anything but tow the company line with the same empty bravado as always?
  17. Someone involved in roster decisions has a soft spot for Sheets, but it’s not like these guys can scout talent. If we see Colás again this season it won’t be until they’ve reclaimed that month of service time, and or until they’ve sold off a few pieces.
  18. I always love when they broadcast their intentions through Bob. Get ready for those cost cutting trades…
  19. Huh, so basically running it back with new but still subpar coaching didn’t magically fix this mess? Nor did spending $75M on a bat with no pop?
  20. Never fear, Hanser will be back as UTIL after they trade TA and Elvis is the everyday SS.
  21. If KW really believes that, oh boy. But this is Bruce Levine talking so for as far as we know he imagined it.
  22. They should sell, right as soon as Hahn is fired. But I don’t believe either is happening anytime soon.
