To answer all of your questions. To put it bluntly and starkly, there is NO HOPE (or at best very, very little...maybe they get lucky like in 2005) that this incompetent, dysfunctional and inept organization can be good or even mediocre for the next several years as long as JR owns the club. Period...full stop...end of story. The only "hope" I have is to outlive JR and take my chances with new ownership.

This has to be done because the owner refuses to pay the going premium rate for pitchers or players who actually perform well. I don't know why you can't see this. Sox fans don't like this 'philosophy' but as long as JR owns the club this is the only choice.

Moncada and Soroka going to AAA for rehab

I would not give this stiff one single at bat. Let him sit on the bench for the final 12 games and then don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. -
And we have yet another blown late lead and probable loss coming right up friends and neighbors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sosa, defense LOL 😆😆

Two bad only two are still around and Crochet will be gone this winter. Lopez by the way left his last start again more arm issues.
-
Ozzie burned his bridges when he quit on the team. And the Sox are a laughingstock nationally the Athletic is now having a daily Sox watch for one example.

It's acceptable in the current MLB universe where making money, a LOT of it, is more important that winning.
-
Also true.
-
That certainly was under consideration.

He can't be released as long as he is on the IL, but as soon as he gets off it (or retires) they will do so.

Seems like we've heard this a thousand time already this year haven't we?: “There’s no room for error. The margins have been slim for us. I think we are used to playing that way. It’s not an easy way to play. It’s definitely not easy on the staff when they feel like there’s no room for error. We just kind of struggled to get that big hit and get those runs when we need it.”--Grady Sizemore.

He's probably already been told by JR payroll is getting slashed again next year. Another 100+ loss season. Resigned to the fact that nothing changes until ownership does.
-
Now Foster with a back disc issue? He's done. Next to get DFA'd over the winter.

In Hawk's bio he wrote that Einhorn gave him a 200,000 bonus to join the Sox broadcasting team in 1982 and that's not even counting his salary.

The second quote was from last year when Getz was hired. It was not part of JR's statement yesterday. -
Getz has to justify the trade remember. 😆

Reinsdorf releases statement to say he'll speak more later

First off JR has made it clear if he wants to do something he is going to do it (See hiring TLR) and it doesn't matter what his staff says but according to what has been posted at the Sox site and as part of DVS Sun-Times story, more and more of the media were asking to get a statement from him especially now with the national media focusing on the ineptitude. -

This is just a guess. Again he's not selling while he is alive because of the capital gains tax hit as well as the additional Illinois tax hit. I'm guessing he'll say along the lines of how this is a disappointment, it is not acceptable and the organization is doing everything they can to correct it (LOL) and because this is JR and he is tone-deaf he'll use this disaster and again plug for a new taxpayer funded stadium saying how it will be good for the franchise (translation: him and his family) and the fan base. -

I don't but some others posted in the past that was an acceptable goal. -

If you mean instead of losing 125 games they'll "only" lose 110 maybe you are right. Or maybe they'll even come close to playing .400 baseball! 😆 -

Remember lousy attendance means JR doesn't have to pay the state and in some cases they have to pay him! I'm sure it bothers him from the standpoint of lost parking, concession revenue but outside of that given his lease, I suspect it doesn't bother him that much. -

They've either got really big stones or absolutely are completely tone deaf to what is taking place. -

Very nice analogy with the groundhog. He's come a long way from this statement hasn't he: “Eddie and I never discussed how to talk to reporters. We’ve just been ourselves. I always though Jack Kennedy was the kind of person I looked up to in that regard. He always gave the media a fair shake and understood you guys have a job to do. Without responsible people willing to divulge some accurate information, it’s hard to do it right. It was a much better approach then Nixon, who figured the media, was his enemy. Doing it Kennedy’s way just makes a lot more sense to me. After all, nobody can buy the kind of advertising Chicago teams get. What other line of work finds newspapers assigning people to follow you around and write about how the business is doing every day? At Balcor, we have to hire a public relations firm to get our names in the paper. When baseball teams get that for free, it makes sense to cooperate.” – Jerry Reinsdorf to Bob Logan. From the book ‘Miracle On 35th Street.’ Pg. 154. Published 1983.
