Definitely irrelevant if OBP/OPS/wRC+/wOBA, whatever you want to use, is good. Joey Gallo, for example, has a career .822 OPS but a 38% strikeout rate. He is a valuable batter because of the good OPS.
If my kid did anything to taunt the opponent then I would have a similar reaction to you. Simply celebrating with his teammates is fine though, I'd even encourage it.
I'm glad he did though. I've seen literally hundreds of tweets/posts saying "Tim Anderson is now my favorite baseball player" from both baseball fans and non-baseball fans because of it. The Sox need to market the hell out of him.
Exactly- in my thoughts that I linked here earlier I was trying to get at that by referring to "pitcher privilege". They can exploit defenseless hitters without facing any comparable consequences.
I have a lot of thoughts on today's events. It's way too much to rephrase or copy/paste, so I'll share the link:

Exactly. There is no "right way" to play baseball, and fetishizing Victorian ideals of masculinity in a sport in 2019 is going to do nothing but decrease its popularity
If it's revealed that Moncada doesn't actually have a concussion but rather is just out of sorts from the impact, would he still need to miss 7 days since he left the game?
I really hope that's what this means but I think you're giving them too much credit. Deep down I think he's still getting regular playing time for the rest of the month at least
