  1. This is clearer than that late starting grainy video that's going around
  2. FWIW the guy who tweeted it appears to be Carlos Rodon's father in law
  3. If you click the link, the one "like" is Anderson himself. What's funny is that neither of these tweets mention Anderson at all, so he had to have either searched for it or seen it on his own browsing time and decided to like it.
  4. And that's where watching the game is essential. We're absolutely in the double digits of the "ok, that pitch wasn't even close and is called a strike 0-1% of the time" kind of called third strike. The majority of those 49 (50 after last night) are probably borderline/usually called a strike by the umpire, but I'd say that at least 15 of them were just awful, awful calls.
  5. Keith Law said something interesting about Moncada: he thinks that, strictly offensively, Moncada's career might be similar to Eric Hosmer's in the sense that he will be inconsistent from season to season, some above average years and some below. Hosmer's wRC+ by year: 113, 80, 120, 98, 124, 102, 135, 94 Moncada's wRC+ by year: 105, 91
  6. I'd have to imagine that if MLB made ball and strike calls robotic, they would make sure that the same exact system is being used for all counts, all teams, etc
  7. Great AB by Moncada there in the 9th. With proper umpiring he’d have 3 walks, instead he has 2
  8. After tonight, 50 of his strikeouts this season are called strikes on pitches out of the zone. Next closest batter has 36
  9. Especially because Carr is pretty mediocre. He's part of the Matt Stafford, Ryan Tannehill mold to me.
  10. I guess another silver lining is that, with this new, albeit worse approach to appease the angry mob, he's no longer on pace to set the single season strikeout record. He might not even lead the league in them, Gallo is catching up a bit
  11. Maybe some of it, but I doubt the burning of all of our timeouts was by design
  12. One thing that isn't being mentioned since bigger issues showed up is how we consistently would break the huddle with 10 seconds left and snap the ball with 1 second left, or burn a timeout. That has to be fixed.
  13. Honestly I think it was smart to let him score there. They were obviously getting a touchdown, so it's better that they do it sooner to give the Bears more time to score for themselves.
  14. Not sure about 2018 but for his minor league career + 2017, he's the same exact hitter against lefties as he is against righties
  15. I know it apparently came from a 1 on 1 interview, but the source on that is Nightengale, which is something that should be mentioned in my opinion
  16. I wonder why Castillo wasn’t pulled for not hustling (didn’t even run until the last second, just stood there) on a routine flyout in the middle innings. I guess it’s only an issue when Anderson and Moncada do it to a far lesser extent?
  17. I don't agree with this. There was the one called third strike today. Other than that, over the past month or so, it has barely happened relative to May/June
  18. How he's a. still allowed to post, and b. actually being taken seriously is beyond me. Literally every. single. one. of his posts are just fear mongering negativity. It's not even a well-hidden troll job
