  1. Send him out for the 7th, pull him if he allows a baserunner
  2. He's such a pesky hitter. Reminds me of those 2008-2010 Twins teams that would just always find a way against us.
  3. I think 30% might be a realistic K-rate for him next year, but I do expect a wRC+ of around 100 or better. If he's actually below 100 at this point next year without many major strides made, I'll start to worry.
  4. The juxtaposition of hardcore anti and pro Benetti posts is always amusing
  5. Reminds me of how the first Marlins' game after Jose Fernandez's death, Dee Gordon led off with a home run, his first and only of the season
  6. It's a slider, his velocity on it has been down lately
  7. Good pitch count too, that's my biggest surprise so far
  8. Davidson continues to be the worst of the three headed DH trio of Palka/Delmonico/Davidson
  9. Hey, that Yolmer AB was an instance of a strikeout being a more favorable outcome than putting the ball in play
  10. Nice to have a guy who doesn't struggle to get swinging strikes
  11. First strikeout for Yoan in his last 12 PAs. It was a good streak
  12. I noticed on the Candelario strikeout, he shook off the curve and the slider before insisting on fastball. And then he K'd him with it
  13. That pitch to Yolmer was one of the worst called strikes I've ever seen. Even worse than those on Yoan this year. If Kopech gets that pitch as a called strike, he's unhittable
  14. This called strike on Yolmer sure was something...
  15. Yup, we do this all the time (and it annoys me just as much) so I can't be mad at the Tigers.
  16. He did play 3B for LA while Turner was injured. I think that if he really gets $350 million, he'd move back. I'm sure he's also probably smart enough to understand that he's a much better defensive third baseman than he is a defensive shortstop.
  17. That's a nice thought and would be the perfect long-term scenario, but the chances of it happening are so slim that by wishing for only 3 wins the rest of the year, you kind of have to be wishing for bad months from all those key guys
  18. So, by proxy, you want Moncada, Anderson, Giolito, Rodon, Lopez, and Kopech to have awful finishes to the year. Doesn't seem too prudent to me
  19. Oh, my confusion more stemmed from the fact that I wasn't aware that picking in the top 10 would guarantee that we keep that first round pick even if we sign one of them (just Harper since Machado isn't QO eligible as you said). My bad
