  1. I don't know if you're allowed to say that, a good portion of the board thinks Abreu is bad
  2. Wow, the first ever non-human to win player of the week. A true feat
  3. The sad(-ish) face and the checked box emoji in the caption
  4. Someone doesn't seem too happy. And Eloy liked this too
  5. Not really. Eloy can’t play center field and we needed a center fielder. If he’s not up this weekend then I’ll agree.
  6. Really surprised that Jose Ruiz didn't make it. It's cool how a lot of the guys on this list could easily be argued as top 10 organizational prospects if they were in other teams' systems.
  7. I'm glad to see some positive trend in Palka's defensive numbers but his statcast defensive metrics are still awful: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/catch_probability_leaderboard
  8. Davidson is probably worse than both, especially since the end of April, but for whatever reason I don't see the organization cutting ties with him.
  9. I have a feeling Palka will win this but I wanted to know who was preferred to stay here when Eloy comes up. Since sending down Engel would mean that only Leury would be capable of playing CF, I don't see that one happening. Last 28 days: Delmonico: .257/.333/.629 for a .962 OPS Palka: .273/.298/.655 for a .953 OPS If you had to pick one to keep, who do you take?
  10. I just don't subscribe to the idea that Moncada's defense is so bad that he needs to be moved. His range stats are top 3 in baseball for second basemen and I trust that he'll iron out the misplays on easy balls. I don't see Anderson ever getting to .800, to answer your question, but I do see him getting to .775 or so, which, in addition to his newfound defensive prowess and baserunning value, does make him valuable overall. However if anyone is getting moved or traded for Madrigal, I would guess that it's Anderson and not Moncada. Anyway, I agree that OPS is not the best stat to judge a player like Madrigal, but I still question that he'll be a more valuable 2B than Moncada long-term, especially if he doesn't walk.
  11. Personally I don’t see the reason to think he’ll be a surefire starter if he’s a 750-775 OPS guy as you mentioned, especially when Moncada projects to be well in the .800s as he continues his development
  12. I don't doubt that he was sick, but I watched innings 1-7 + saw pictures/videos of Eloy in the dugout online, and he certainly didn't look sick. Either way, I suppose at this point that the flu-like symptoms and Getz comments being within hours of each other were purely coincidental
  13. He was in the dugout in full uniform the entire game and was laughing, talking with teammates, cheering them on, etc.
  14. While he's ready, I just don't see us making him debut against Cleveland. Maybe the following weekend against KC.
  15. Wow. Great performance from Kopech
  16. Kopech seems to be going back out for the 7th. Nobody warming
  17. Doesn't look like someone who is unable to play due to sickness to me
  18. Kopech has been a lot better than his box score.
