  1. If you ask me, a large part of the problem is the fact that people think last week's events and wanting to give all Americans a voice/representation are equally "bad"
  2. Yeah, isn't Hiura terrible defensively? Not sure if he's a 2B long-term. But agree that Madrigal probably can't headline a deal for Burnes, and definitely can't for Woodruff
  3. I'd have mixed feelings about any Heuer trade, but 1. Always sell high on relievers 2. I highly doubt he'd be traded for some boring #4 starter. If he's going, it has to be as part of a package for a real difference maker
  4. Well, at least they actually care this time. It's still astounding to me that they were "blindsided" by what happened last week despite how public and well-known the attack was in advance.
  5. Not only that, but the number of people who think that this is a political opinion that is just as dangerous as what happened this past week
  6. He has been insanely impressive on this road trip. He has always had the ability to go on huge runs and drill a ton of 3s, but the fact that he's distributing well on top of that and playing improved team defense is exceptional.
  7. Joe Biden. Which is why it's interesting that he didn't win by even more of a landslide, although part of that is probably due to Trump framing him as a radical socialist
  8. What if you go multiple times per week?
  9. Sure, but lefty, cheap, controlled, durable, limits hard contact, doesn't walk anyone, avoids home runs. He's a younger and better (and cheaper) Keuchel, IMO. A Keuchel who allows fewer walks and pitches deeper into games
  10. Marco Gonzales would be an absolute slam dunk acquisition. There's not a better fit (that is realistic) out there, IMO. He'd complement this rotation and even the bullpen perfectly
  11. Time for thousands to cry about freedom of speech while ironically exhibiting that they don't know how it works
  12. Trust me, in that case, I was doing the world a favor
  13. Yeah, that's honestly pretty surprising to me. I didn't agree with him on much, but we talked frequently over PM and everything was very civil and friendly. And I say this as someone who has tipped the moderators off a couple of times on the returns of banned posters, such as the great Tommy Longo
  14. Fast forward to two weeks from now, when we have people asking "what else could have possibly been done to prevent this" when literally nothing out of the ordinary was done
  15. I mean that isn’t too different from what he said about BLM last summer
  16. Bieber - Plesac - McKenzie - Quantrill - Civale is still going to make things tough on our lineup. Barring more trades, I think Cleveland is still an 81-86 win team
  17. Those damn players, just wanting the terms that *checks notes*... both sides have already agreed to
  18. Right, so it's a race issue. They were protesting racially-motivated police shootings, in case you weren't aware. If you think that's akin to people attempting to overthrow the government because their preferred candidate lost an election, everything I said applies
  19. To clarify because I'm not sure if the sarcasm will come across, the Blue Lives Matter folks love to pretend that police officers are some marginalized group, while ignoring that, unlike actual marginalized groups, they typically have the option to leave their group (i.e. get a different job, retire, etc). Even if you want to argue that the status of their group is irrelevant, I'm not sure how one can call police officers marginalized when they consistently receive little or no punishment for murder. If anything, they're usually above the law. Trying to equate criticism of them to racism (or insert prejudice here) is a great way of demonstrating that you've never thought critically about a race-related issue
  20. For sure, because people are born as a specific race just as they're born as police officers. Totally comparable
  21. That's their play, from what I'm seeing online. They're claiming these weren't Trump supporters and that it was all George Soros, or something
  22. This is a new one: This claim of election fraud is disputed, and this Tweet can’t be replied to, Retweeted, or liked due to a risk of violence 3:17 PM · Jan 6, 2021·Twitter for iPhone
  23. I'm too young to remember 9/11 but I truly feel like this day might be remembered as much as it. It has to be the most historically cited day in the country's history since then, right? I mean, I knew this was coming, but watching it all unfold is still just absolutely surreal
