  1. I don't care what pro league you're in- if your OBP for a season is over .500, you're probably really good.
  2. Oh my goodness, he's in an 8-game slump! Trade him for Vogelbach while we can!
  3. yikes Chuck GarfienVerified account ‏@ChuckGarfien Jose Abreu is now batting .193. He's 4 for his last 36.
  4. QUOTE (South Sider @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) He's referring to a play from yesterdays game that Benetti and Stone were talking about in the broadcast. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:24 PM) yesterday they just showed the replay of the 9th inning play. got it, thank you. sorry for my confusion
  5. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:19 PM) Can't throw that ball any better than Sands did and you can't slide any better than Trout. Real MLB caliber play all around, other than the slip of course. That little rain had to help. Sands is playing? He's not in the box score. And what was that play? My gamecast says Trout walked
  6. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 09:33 AM) Game 16 LAA @ Sox (Thursday) Eaton (3): jose abreu Rollins (3): Abreu (1): Frazier (1): brett05 Melky (3): Avi (3): Condor13 Lawrie (3): Catcher (3): Jackson (3):
  7. I'm excited for our 1st round pick/comp pick to be in the MLB outfield in August. /semi-green
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 08:37 AM) He was fine there, but not great. Frazier is far better defensively, which is why I want to keep Frazier there virtually all the time. But if we need to spell Abreu for a day, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to put a good defender in Saladino at third and Frazier at first.
  9. My friend who is a senior in high school was overjoyed when her teacher bought the class 8 dozen donuts. It's rare for a teacher to do anything for graduating students here
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 10:34 PM) Is it just me or are the faces in the Show much worse this year? Lawrie, Putnam and Navarro look nothing like they do in real life and that are the only ones I have noticed in a game and a half so far Yeah, Navarro looks horrible. Abreu/Saladino do as well but they're too young to get scanned, I think
  11. Apparently Saladino can play a competent 1B. Frazier does as well, obviously. We could always shift Frazier to first and start Saladino at third if needed.
  12. I was surprised by 2014, but then I remembered the season started in March
  13. I guess now we know what Hawk does on days that Benetti is broadcasting.
  14. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 06:10 PM) He means Gold Gloves are worthless. Derek Jeter has 4 of them, that should say it all. And Cespedes won last year
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) This is definitively false. Garcia has elite speed. Sanchez has played in a 148 games in the MLB. That's basically a typical full season sample. He has 3 SBs and 3 CSs in his career in the bigs. Garcia, who doesn't even fulfill all of his base stealing potential, has stolen 191 bags in minors and is 19/22 as a big leaguer. I know Garcia is a better base stealer, but from a pure speed standpoint, Sanchez isn't a slouch. I acknowledge that Garcia is faster, but my point is basically that speed alone shouldn't deter us from hypothetically selecting the better all-around player, as his speed is not a weakness.
  16. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:26 PM) Apparently it's because CPS is on spring break this week. That's a shockingly late spring break
  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:22 PM) ump was looking at where the ball landed, not where it crossed the bag. Do your job! I'm not watching, are you saying Eaton was safe?
