  1. On 7/31/2008, the Sox played the Twins in MN. Gardenhire got ejected which prompted Twins fans to litter the field with hats, beer bottles, baseballs, foam footballs, etc. Guillen pulled the Sox off the field, as this was happening during an inning. Can anyone find the video of this? It was 2008, so it shouldn't be as hard to find as it is for me. I found one video on YouTube, but it was taken by a fan at the game with like, 240p quality and horrible camerawork.
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 10:16 AM) Sands has started 1 of 9 games. I don't think he's in any sort of rotation. 9 games, he has appeared in 2. We have had 2 off days (one being a rainout) in those 9 games. If he weren't part of our rotation, he wouldn't be on the team.
  3. It seems like Eaton will be our only "everyday" outfielder with Melky/Jackson/Garcia/Shuck/Sands sharing 2 OF spots and DH.

  6. I have some trust in Latos to continue the winning streak, and it is nice to have Sale going after instead of Danks. Of course, then, Danks is theoretically your #2 pitcher from then on when it comes to pitching order.
  7. I like Sands after watching this interview. He seems like a humble guy.
  8. Rodon did a great job of battling through a horrendous umpire. Solid win. 6-2 is absolutely fantastic no matter which teams you're playing.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:51 PM) 2007 bullpen started great too. Then it turned May. That was the first White Sox team I followed as a "die-hard". The days of Ryan Bukvich, Ehren Wasserman, Dewon Day, Boone Logan, Mike MacDougal, etc... quite the 'pen
  10. As much as I prefer Navarro, Avila does have a really nice approach and eye at the plate.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) That said, 6-2 is HUGE for this organization. WOULD BE* huge... come on, the game isn't over
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) Especially when you consider how many games Avila alone has lost due to injury. We are discussing Navarro though. If the situation were flipped, I'd be more wary, but Navarro is a switch-hitter anyway.
  13. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:28 PM) I thought that was an upper deck shot based on the camerawork lol same, this camera work has been very weird today overall
  14. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) You can't claim that then if you won't do the work lol If you can't use critical thinking skills to think of every time you have seen a catcher leave the game with an injury after the 7th inning, and consider how rare it is, then that's on you. Sorry I don't have time to do the research.
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) Or you pinch hit Sands But then Navarro would have to be subbed in at catcher anyway, giving you guys your injury risk problem again
  16. Duke does this the day an article is released about him "relieved" by LaRoche's status
  17. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) What's your source for the odds of someone getting hurt to be 1%? I'm not going to waste my time compiling stats of catchers who get injured in the 7th inning or later, but I'd bet everything possible that the odds are less than 1%. If you are unable to see that, then that's not my problem.
