  1. So I guess no Nate Jones tonight, unless Petricka isn't pitching the whole inning
  2. Sale's line: 7 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 104 NP Not bad. Just one bad inning.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:31 PM) I didn't notice Oakland spent $23 million for Ryan Madson over 3 years. The only problem is that he's 35. Wow, they should meet Gar Forman and John Paxson. (referring to Mike Dunleavy)
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:29 PM) Wow Burns really f***ed up there. Why would you stop a quarter of the way there? He would've been toast at 2nd
  5. Jones 8th, Robertson 9th? Knowing Ventura, Sale comes out for the 8th at less than 105 though?
  6. Jed Lowrie, aka new Chris Sale killer up
  7. Watch that replay again in slow-mo to appreciate how tough that hop was. Great play.
  8. Abreu has been very good defensively tonight.
  9. Petricka/Duke warming. Would like to see Jones in the 8th and, if we lead, Robertson obviously in the 9th
  10. Great, feisty AB. Staying alive. Hope it pays off
  11. One of my favorite Abreu memories is his clutch HR in Oakland in early 2014
  12. Last year, they'd walk Abreu to face LaRoche. Now, they pitch to him with Frazier on deck.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) Is Rollins really a Hall of Famer? I feel like that's highly debatable. Yeah, I don't think he is.
  14. Strike out if you have to, just no double plays. Abreu would love an AB with RISP
  15. At least he's not diving headfirst into first anymore!
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:04 PM) We've been no hit outside of the 3rd inning. :| Almost hard to believe with the hit by pitches.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:01 PM) Pitchers have much lower pitch counts early in the year. Not Sale. He threw 127 in April of 2014
  18. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:00 PM) Still working out some kinks. One thing is for sure though, it's really nice to watch a real defensive CFer Aside from the dumb error he made...
  19. RV usually pulls him in the 115-120 range, so I'd be shocked if they pulled him now
  20. Lawrie was way too deep to call that and Jackson almost dropped the ball by immediately helping him up. Disaster averted.
