  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) Actually, he is scratched. Sale traded. http://www.chicagonow.com/soxnet/2016/04/b...baez-in-return/ Well, according to every Cubs fan ever, he's "bound for TJ surgery any day", so by their standards, that's a huge overpay!
  2. So we're carrying 6 outfielders in Cabrera, Jackson, Eaton, Garcia, Shuck, and Sands when most teams carry 4...
  3. QUOTE (spiderman @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) If they do land him, is he a starter or does he go to the bullpen? AAA
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 11:22 AM) Who's the equivalent to Peyton Manning in baseball? Well, with the HGH stuff going around and his age... Alex Rodriguez.
  5. By the way, April Fools! Sorry, I had to continue the tradition of April 1st Sale fake-injury threads, and didn't want to pick something too obviously fake.
  6. Deonte Thompson was a pretty good KR but Bolden signing is nice. Thompson may move to punts.
  7. Ted Larsen is horrible and better not start like reports are indicating, but I like the Manny Ramirez signing.
  8. My guess is Loney. It makes too much sense.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 12:37 AM) I usually always get The Show the day it comes out but decided to wait it out this year. I hardly played the game last year and not sure if it is even much different from previous years. How is the RTTS this year? I think I will wait for the OS rosters Haven't played RTTS yet, but it is different from previous years in improved commentary and a completely revamped defensive system. Fielding is now much more realistic and less choppy/animation-y.
  10. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 12:27 AM) Is Sounds of the Show shareable? I'm guessing not due to copyright? No, it's not, but it was pretty quick for me. I just downloaded MP3s of walkup music, Thunderstruck, etc. in about 10 minutes, and then applied them to the Sox and Sox players in another 15.
  11. PS- I suck at hitting with Todd Frazier.
  12. I put in all the authentic Sox walkup music along with regular ballpark songs (such as Thunderstruck) and it's pretty cool. Nice to have Sounds of The Show back.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 06:46 PM) Doubront is the A's 5th starter over Jesse Hahn. Kind of a dumb move
  14. The main reason I prefer Saladino to Rollins is defense. Not that Rollins is bad defensively, but Saladino is just elite in that regard
  15. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) I assume you are saying that Saladino had a higher batting average than Rollins last year right? Because Rollins had a fairly significantly higher OPS. Saladino hit for a .2245 average last year while Rollins managed a meager .2243. A difference of .0002, or roughly 1 hit in every 5000 at bats. But yeah, let's give him the starting job because of it over Rollins who is a former MVP out to prove himself again and is looking revitalized this spring. Saladino is out to prove himself as well, so that point is moot. Looking revitalized this spring? So is Matt Davidson... spring training stats don't matter.

  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 10:01 AM) I don't get the fascination with Ishikawa at all. No way should he be your DH and batting 6th to start the season. I don't get the fascination with Rollins. I mean, he deserves to make the team, but I still think Saladino is the better player. That aside, it looks as though Rollins will be our #2 hitter? I'd much rather have Melky or even Austin Jackson there than a guy who hit worse than Saladino and Flowers last year.
  18. IMO, we should've kept Sanchez or Davidson.
  19. Ishikawa's left-handedness is nice, but it would also be nice if he hit higher than .222 since 2013.
  20. Also, I'm still a bit worried about our outfield defense. If we DH Garcia, then that still leaves Melky in LF and Eaton playing RF. We can't really know how he'll adjust
