  1. QUOTE (glangon @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 02:58 AM) Cespedes is replaced like for like by Upton Zimmerman is not as good as Price Salty is not as good as Avila Pelfry and Simon are both as bad as each other Maybin is not as good as Davis (you lose speed on the bases) Lowe and Wilson are better than Al Albaquerque and Ian Kroll but then again La Roche and Leury Garcia pitched better than that pair. K-Rod is better than Feliz but not much. Agreed Agreed, but Zimmerman is still pretty good. I think James McCann will be the starting catcher. He is better than Avila. Agreed Agreed I think K-Rod is much better than Feliz Maybe not an 11 win improvement, but I think it's more than what you're saying.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) You don't need a good RB in this league anymore. How many SB's has Minnesota won? It gets proven every year: to win the SB you either need a hall of fame QB with a decent defense, or you need a great defense with an average QB. Everything else is just filler. You don't need one, but it sure is nice to have one. Minnesota is just one example. You could also say that Lynch played a big role for Seattle.
  3. QUOTE (MEANS @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 10:01 AM) A little late but last week the Toronto Maple Leafs unveiled their new logo and I designed it. It was a very crazy and surreal week to say the least. Probably my biggest accomplishment as a designer although the two locker room graphics for the last 2 Blackhawks Stanley Cup wins come pretty close too. I saw that on TV. Looks good! Nice work
  4. QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 11:25 PM) Moe's is definitely a distant third. We can all agree Baja Sol is straight terrible, right? No to above and yes to below.
  5. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) How much have you seen him actually play? Keith Law, whose basically entire job is evaluating prospects, projected him as an above average defensive shortstop. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) Keith Law wrote that Anderson projects to be above average defensively at SS. I'm glad Keith Law thinks that, and I hope he ends up being right. The videos I've seen of Anderson's defense are not encouraging. He has gotten better, though.
  6. I don't think Langford is gonna be as good of an all-around RB as the Bears think. His drops concern me. Also, his blocking is nowhere near as good as Forte's. I think he'll be fine rushing-wise, which is thankfully most important for a RB, but his pass catching and blocking won't compare to Forte.
  7. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 09:41 AM) What makes you say that? I'm not sure he will be but he's improving a lot. Yes, but despite his improvements defensively, he's still not good defensively. If he continues improving, then who knows, but I see him as more of a terrific hitter/baserunner with poor defense in the Majors.
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 09:41 AM) Two, I believe. Yes, you're right. My bad. If Anderson forces his way up, we could always trade Desmond or Anderson for an asset.
  9. Isn't Lawrie just here for one year? Anderson would play 2B in 2017. I don't think he'll be good enough defensively as a SS.
  10. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 11, 2016 -> 10:36 AM) Qdoba (and Moe's) are nasty. You get free queso and guac because everything is lower quality. Shut up!
  11. Signing him could lead to a trade of one of Saladino/Sanchez in a bigger package for an OF
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 08:12 PM) Lol the Hawks consistently get screwed on reviews. It's just ridiculous.
  13. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 05:13 PM) Latos gets 100K for MVP, Cy Young and WS MVP. All 3 and he gets 300K incentives and is officially the biggest bargain in MLB https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/697194134205935617 I wonder what the odds of Mat Latos winning 2016 World Series MVP are.
  14. Here's the link. Found this interesting and I think it's worthy of its own thread. If mods think it's not, feel free to move it to the Latos thread.
  15. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 03:31 PM) Signed him again...... Yeah, I guess Charlotte likes him
  16. At this point, I'd rather see Sale Quintana Rodon Latos Johnson (Maybe flip Rodon/Latos to vary LHP/RHP) than Danks anywhere in there. I think Johnson could very well put up better numbers than Danks
  17. In before someone calls this "low risk, high reward" edit- I was too late
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 05:45 PM) Traded Carlos Carrasco ($10), Jose Quintana ($8), and Steven Matz (rights) for Dee Gordon ($15) Uh... yikes.
  19. Pau Gasol to PHX for the Suns' training staff. Who says no?
  20. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 04:30 PM) The White Sox TV ratings were almost equal to the Cubs a few years ago. Their ratings doubled on Comcast last year when the team got hot. When the team started losing again the ratings went bad. As long as JR or one of his investors own the White Sox/Bulls there are more than enough TV stations in the Chicagoland area that will want the White Sox on their channel. Clarification, are you referring to our winning streak in July? Where Melky hit like .600?
