  1. Kevin Love was probably the real loser of that trade.
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 08:40 AM) There are a couple guys that will be left off the Top 30 that I didn't expect to be. I'll predict the Top 15 as such: 1. Tim Anderson SS 2. Carson Fulmer RHP 3. Spencer Adams RHP 4. Trey Michalczewski 3B 5. Tyler Danish RHP 6. Jordan Guerrero LHP 7. Micker Adolfo OF 8. Jacob May CF 9. Adam Engel CF 10. Courtney Hawkins OF 11. Corey Zangari 1B 12. Chris Beck RHP 13. Amado Nunez SS 14. Brandon Brennan RHP 15. Brian Clark LHP That leaves off guys like: Jhoandro Alfaro, Johan Cruz, Robinson Leyer, Michael Ynoa, Andre Wheeler, Blake Hickman, and Keon Barnum. I think that's a pretty solid prediction. I still don't understand what everyone sees in Michalczewski, though. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be on the list, but I think he is overrated by most on this board.
  3. I can definitely see Lopez and Johnson going to Cleveland. I just don't know if Cleveland has enough ammo for them, mainly Lopez.
  4. The 2016 AL Central is an enigma. There is really a chance for any combination of the five teams in the standings. All 5 teams have rosters that can make the playoffs.
  5. QUOTE (oneofthemikes @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 08:24 AM) Personally, I think committing to a rebuild is the right thing to do. If you look around the league at the teams that have done that lately, they have themselves in a position to stay competitive for years to come. I'm not in complete disagreement with you, but I think it's a little too late for that after the Frazier/Lawrie trades, which gave us the impression that we are going for it. We started the process and it's not finished. We can either finish it by signing Cespedes, not finish it and have a mediocre 78-84 win season, or go all out and trade Sale/Quintana/Abreu/everyone fast. I don't know if the latter is possible.
  6. Twitter being down probably doesn't help us with finding *fake* Cespedes rumors.
  7. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 10:59 PM) I didn't think this board could be worse than twitter. I was wrong. Yoenis cesPAYdes #NBAVote
  8. Give me Cespedes, or give me death. Or, I don't know. Something will work out.
  9. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) You have to admire Mike Ilitch. Money doesn't matter, what he has to do doesn't matter. All that matters is winning the World Series. And pizza. (He owns Little Caesar's)
  10. To be fair, I am under the impression that RV is on a very short leash, and may be fired before the ASB if we are struggling.
  11. Pretty cool how the Bulls are responsible for 17% of San Antonio's losses.
  12. You guys are overanalyizng a post which the OP admitted was sarcastic
  13. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) Bruce Levine reporting the White Sox have offered Cespedes a 3-year $27M contract. Probably won't get it done. I sincerely hope that you're being sarcastic. 3/27 is horrid.
  14. At the deadline, we were 2 games below .500 and very much in the wild card race. Did we buy? No. Did we sell? No. We did absolutely nothing, which was the worst thing we could have done, as we finished out of the playoffs and did not gain any players via trade. Now, we have this awkwardly-comprised roster of some very good players and some very subpar players. We are a big move away from being actual contenders. We are a few blockbuster trades away from being stocked with prospects. What will we do? Well, we've already started buying (Frazier, Lawrie), so the logical decision is to continue to do so. But. what will we actually do? Well... probably nothing.
  15. Why do we have to play in one of the best divisions in baseball...
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) 6-125 for Upton. Yeah Sox aren't touching that for Cespedes If Rick Hahn had balls of steel...
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) Shocked Tigers were able to get him without a hashtag campaign #PayUp4Upton2016
  18. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) It's not that much different than the lineup they put up last year. But it is with a further developed Castellanos/McCann/Iglesias. Also, the big names from lineup last year were injured for, well, the whole year.
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) cesPOOLdes* Thanks for the laugh
  20. Kinsler Iglesias Cabrera J. Martinez Upton V. Martinez Castellanos McCann Gose That is downright scary.
  21. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:35 PM) With Upton to Detroit I don't see any other teams besides maybe the Angels that could pay him what he reportedly wants. You'd be surprised.
  22. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:35 PM) 6-yr deal Does it have the word "regret" written all over it?
  23. Upton to the Tigers, so you can cross one more team off the list.
