QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:05 PM) Lol that happens man. The entire bench was pretty bad all night. Singling out Brooks when he at least contributed offensively is bad. Noah and Gibson were horrendous. 1-7 shooting, 7 rebounds, 8 fouls, and 5 turnovers in 36 minutes of play between them. That's bad. Noah was a train wreck offensively, and Gibson was poor offensively as well, but I wouldn't say they played poorly overall because their defense was solid.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:03 PM) Rose should be fined a million dollars for every missed 3-pointer that he attempts throughout the season. The dude can't shoot from downtown worth a damn and he's hurting the team by chucking up those shots each and every game. Agreed. To be fair, his 1 3PA tonight was wide open and relatively late in the shot clock. Thankfully, it seems as if he's more driving-oriented this season. No more "Rose 1-7 from 3 point range" in the game recap

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:00 PM) Brooks was not bad. He was pretty efficient when in the game. I don't know how 12 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound and 1 turnover on 5-9 is bad. His defense was horrendous, and his four misses led to fastbreak points for Brooklyn. Edit- He was so bad that he got benched for Hinrich in the 4th quarter

3-pointers: Mirotic 4/8 Butler 3/3 Snell 2/4 McDermott 2/4 Brooks 2/6 Moore 1/2 Rose 0/1 ------------- Team 14/28, 50%

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) Niko with another great game. Jimmy got 19 points on 9 shots. Mirotic's 3-point shot already looks more efficient than last year's (from these 2 games and the preseason). I can tell he worked on it over the summer. he was onle 30/31% last year

Chicago Bulls @chicagobulls 1m1 minute ago .@JimmyButler tonight: 24 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds. 9-11 from the field, 3-3 from downtown.

Butler, Rose, Gasol, and Mirotic were all spectacular tonight. Snell, Noah, and Moore were decent. Gibson, McDermott and Hinrich were meh. Brooks was bad. Overall, a good game. 2-0.

13-27 3 point shooting. #Hoiball

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:46 PM) I started watching mid-way through the 4th. He had missed all of the shots I watched him take. He also let Brown score on him fairly easily. Yup, he has had 4 bad minutes and you happened to turn on the TV right when they started. He has had a very good game overall.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:44 PM) Rose looking pretty bad on both ends of the court. I strongly disagree. With the exception of his first 3-4 4th quarter minutes, he has been good on both ends.

I love the way our road jerseys look on this Brooklyn court. 86-71 Bulls after 3

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) Watching rotations yesterday and now close the game was, I didn't see room for him yesterday. Hope tonight is a blow out and we can see him. Looked like it would be a blowout, but Brooklyn came back. 56-55 bulls

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 03:46 PM) Where did the dislike of Hosmer and Moustakas come from? They look and act like douchebags, as the above poster said. They also somehow happen to be in the center of KC's many, many bench-clearing incidents, along with Y. Ventura.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 01:45 PM) Yeah, the Sox should keep bringing in the "good guys" like LaRoche/Cabrera/Duke and the leaders like Samardzija. You have a serious problem with your evaluations. You only look at the most recent sample. You don't really offer any type of alternatives, just bag on everything everyone else offers, I actually have offered many ideas of my own. The sad reality is that this is a relatively weak FA class and the best position available happens to be our strength, which is starting pitching. I'm not saying that the Sox shouldn't bring in anyone who has a bad history in the clubhouse, but come on, Papelbon is a cancer and A-Rod would bring so much negative publicity to the team. You want me to suggest an alternative, so I guess I will. That would be not trading for Papelbon (simply because we don't need to and LaRoche is nearly untradeable) and not trading for A-Rod and perhaps going after Martin Prado instead.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 01:10 PM) The woman accusing DRose of rape wants $21.5 million. That may explain why he needs another max contract to provide his family financial stability. That's still going on?
-
Nothing will ever beat the original bench mob from Rose's MVP year though.
-
Enough of the wishing for A-Rod, Papelbon, Hanley, etc... if the White Sox were smart, they would want nothing to do with these guys. Hanley's defense alone would make him the new Soxtalk whipping boy, and his offense isn't very good either anymore. Papelbon is a disaster in the clubhouse and he had been known as a dick even before the Harper incident. A-Rod is A-Rod. Do I even need to explain that? Plus, aside from his personality/the guaranteed negative reaction from Sox fans and his "legacy", there's his contract. No thanks.

I like the quick subs and minute distribution. It's better for us in the long run.

State of the White Sox Address a Position

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:35 AM) I didn't get to watch Montas. How did he look? Statistically seemed decent. He wasn't bad, but he needs to work on his control/limiting walks, as well as his efficiency. I'm not referring to his MLB starts, but this is a guy who rarely gets into the 6th inning in AA. I think he will be an effective relief pitcher, but not a starter. -
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:31 AM) http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2582867...dipping-problem I thought Trestman couldn't be any worse......WOW. Yikes.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:21 AM) Man the jerking off of Hoiberg on 670 today is out of control. In Hoiberg we trust! #Hoiball4Life

State of the White Sox Address a Position
Jose Abreu replied to rowand's rowdies's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd roll with Sale, Quintana, Rodon, and Danks, with the 5th starter being Erik Johnson to start the season, but perhaps changing depending on his performance. Montas isn't ready yet. -
K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop Noah in good spirits but had small knot on inside of right knee. Said whether he plays vs. Nets depends on how it responds to treatment.
-
Gasol with the great 2 point, 2 rebound, 6 block stat line.
-
Did we really expect Portis to play? A 5 big rotation is virtually impossible.
