DGN has run the option for like 30 years. If they didn't change it for David Edwards the last 4 years, they aren't changing it.
Yeah, I know they aren't. The team doesn't like it though. Even Edwards (my neighbor, told me this directly) grew tired of it/our coach's playcalling last season.
Remember when Y. Ventura quick-pitched Eaton and it led to that brawl? And Samardzija was in the middle of it all, and most of us loved him for it? How times have changed...

The Pirates really took the high road on this one. Lawrie slid hard into Escobar early in the season and that started a bean-ball war of epic proportions.
You're right on that. It's even still going on now, and it started in mid-April.

My favorite textbooks to be assigned were the ones that had key stuff already highlighted by previous users.
Yeah, Jagielo didn't do that for me.

They'll be lucky to make the playoffs. They'll probably be 2-4 heading into a winnable final 3 games. That program has been way down the past couple years.
Yeah, you're right I was joking. Our coach (who happens to be my history teacher) is running such an outdated offense and is too stubborn to change it.

Didn't Swisher when he played for the Yankees do something like this to the Japanese SS the Twins had?
Tsuyoshi Nishioka, I believe, yes.
Today at school, I had to go get a consumer ed textbook to complete an assignment. I opened it up to find this.
For those who don't know, Eric Jagielo (yes, he went to my school) is the #8 prospect in the Yankees' organization and is the #7 3B prospect in baseball.
Thought this was worth sharing.

And you have never seen any of those players play a minute of hockey.
I've seen Dano a few times (full games) and I've seen Panarin highlights. I admit that I haven't seen Tikhonov but I maintain my prediction on him.
I'm sorry, but I'm not expecting too much this season from Dano, Panarin, or Tikhonov. I think Panarin will break out next year, Dano will be an average player in his prime, and Tikhonov won't amount to much.

Nothing like a diehard Cubs fan announcing the Sox game.
For real. I wish we had a different fill-in announcer.
