  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 10:24 PM) It is a legit question. I was hope he was asked how he felt about not getting to go out for the 9th or what he and Robin talking about in the dugout Or about the obvious pine tar on his hand lol
  2. I'm not saying Rick Hahn is an amazing, top-five GM or anything. I'm just annoyed at all of the comments blaming him instead of the players/coaches.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 10:20 PM) So, you're in for "Rick Hahn put together a solid roster but some mysterious effect has somehow managed to impact the entire roster". I assume you're in for "this is all on the team's management and coaching staff and they all need to be gone top to bottom" because that's where your logic leads. What other process could cause the entire roster to underperform so completely? I don't know, but it's not Rick Hahn. It probably is the coaching staff, but that isn't his fault.
  4. So classy. I'd be so mad if I were him

  7. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) The only trade Hahn made in the offseason was bad. Otherwise, he just signed 4 players, 2 of whom are good, 1 bad and 1 so-so. He also missed the opportunity to peddle Alexei. He wasn't able to make small trades to improve C. He put together a terrible bench. I loved the Bonifacio signing. Ideally, he would have 125+ games under his belt by the end of the year because he'd be the primary backup 2B/SS/3B/LF/CF/RF. Instead, we screwed things up by signing Beckham and basically eliminating Bonifacio's role.
  8. Bryant, Soler, Schwarber, Castro, and Almora at a minimum.
  9. Look, I'm as frustrated as anyone with this team. But Rick Hahn did a tremendous job over the offseason of putting this roster together. Yes, he should be taking more action now, and I think we'll see some very soon, but coming into the year, I was pleased with his work. Before the season, the general concerns on this site were -Catcher -Second base -Back of rotation -Bullpen We were right, as these positions have not performed well for us. However, how could you fault Rick Hahn for the performance of proven veterans? Melky's .240 batting average could not have been predicted, given that he has excelled in recent seasons, even post-steroids. Samardzija is coming off a ~3.00 ERA season, Eaton is supposed to be a .300 hitter, Alexei has never hit this poorly in a season, etc. My point is, it seems as if almost everything has gone wrong this year, but it's not Hahn's fault, because our players are severely underperforming. That is out of his control.
  10. Battlefield Hardline blood money is so addicting.
  11. 101.1 Chicago is relatively new and very good
  12. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 09:51 PM) Chris Sale signed his contract. The end. He's not really moveable because 1) teams overvalue their prospects 2) Sox would ask for an enormous amount of young talent in return for the 3rd pitcher in a century to have 12 Ks in 5 straight games. Exactly. A Chris Sale trade won't be happening anytime soon.
  13. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 09:33 PM) The Dodgers wouldn't do it. The only packages team would be willing to part with would be far from equal value for Sale. We'd be the ones to say no to that. A top five player in baseball on a cheap contract is worth more than two top ten prospects.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) This has to be the last game for Ventura and Steverson, right? Not with a day game tomorrow. I think they'd pull the trigger on an off day, if they ever decide to fire him.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) Didn't Chris throw like 125 last time out? Doesn't mean he should do it again and risk an injury. That's what happened last year in mid-April, I believe, the day after throwing ~128.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 09:21 PM) There was no reason to pull Sale tonight. Blow this team up including the coaching staff. Pitch count
  17. If Sale had a normal offense, he'd be like 10-1
  18. Didn't know Mitch Moreland was having such a good year. He reminds me of Adam Lind
  19. of f***ing course Sale will end up with a no decision. Unbelievable. We couldn't win a game to save our lives.
  20. In retrospect, I guess I'd be really upset if he gave up a couple hits in the ninth due to fatigue and we lost
