He also either is slow out of the box or just slow now. Cause that bunt tonight was perfect and he would not have beaten it out had the pitcher not made a horrific throw.
De Aza is fast, but slow out of the box.
My 2 cents on the De Aza conversation:
he sucks, he flat out sucks at everything. But, last year, he showed potential as a hitter. IIRC he went 17/62 with a respectable average.

He'll need 301 by then. 32 games after today. He'll probably have 172 after today. Needs 129 in 32 games, almost exactly 4 per game.
so unlikely because he always sits vs LHP
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:42 PM)
He would need 201 PA as of after this game to be qualified. He has 171.
So he's not close. Can he get there by the All-Star break?

Abreu should start the all star game. Amazing to have a bonafide star on the Sox again.
Edit: To go with Sale.

Is Conor qualified yet for the AL batting leaders list yet?
Heard he would be #1 the other day but was just coming up short on plate appearances.
Kroled a grounder to Kinsler there.
I asked that too, no one had an exact answer
Petricka is so underrated. Webb too. Putnam too. Basically our whole bullpen minus Belisario and Downs is good. I'm probably forgetting someone- oh yeah, except Guerra too. And Carroll.

I wish I could email the booth. Don't blame the college coaches, Hawk, blame the umps. There's a RULE on how long it takes to deliver a pitch. Enforce it.
What's the rule again? How many seconds?

Tyler's chances of making the all star team are starting to disappear.
The funniest part is, he actually did have a chance. The AL catchers are so bad.
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:14 PM)
If that was true then why don't other managers do it? Tell me, when is the last time you saw a manager pull a pitcher after throwing a second ball? I haven't seen it once this season
I haven't seen them do it this season either.
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:13 PM)
How bout a grounder to the right side rather than a bunt? I'll take a bunt though.
As we learned recently, Tyler can bunt.
