  1. With Quintana starting today it will be interesting to see if any other teams scout will be in attendence and talked about.
  2. Astros might be running a opening day starting rotation of keuchel, morton, mccullers, Musgrove and fiers. Thats not that great. Quintana would definitely help
  3. For #WhiteSox to trade him now prevents risk of unforeseen Sonny Gray type situation w A's last yr and premature contending issues https://twitter.com/JimBowden_ESPN/status/844612939592159232
  4. #WhiteSox high asking price for Jose Quintana makes sense based on the maximum returns they got in both the Sale and Eaton trades. #patience https://twitter.com/JimBowden_ESPN/status/844543363013586944
  5. Sources: It's status quo with Jose Quintana for now, but he could be moved by the White Sox at any time. The latest: https://t.co/xE6BUB1iiV https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/844362919559249921
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2017 -> 02:01 PM) You almost have to have one of Leury or Sanchez to break camp as the back up middle IF. Honestly both could. Sanchez back up infielder with leury back up infielder/outfielder. Probably still carry 4th outfielder anyway
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 14, 2017 -> 12:55 PM) I think this will help Davidson, Liriano, and Ynoa break camp. I think leury breaks with sox. Since saladino is 2b they need a super utility player.
  8. #WhiteSox players who are out of options, according to @mlbtraderumors. https://t.co/v3eZjHQlNm https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/841719476378718208
  9. Robertson remains very available in trades and is being scouted in @WBC. Plus outing for him in getting Reyes, Machado, Cano in order. https://twitter.com/philgrogers/status/840754850128363521
  10. David Robertson coming in for Team USA. Nationals have a scout in attendance. His Team USA stint could influence his trade market. @WBC https://twitter.com/philgrogers/status/839647892621176833
  11. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Mar 3, 2017 -> 01:28 PM) While our system is dramatically improved from last March, I wouldn't put us top 3 right now due to a lack of depth Our system has nice talent in the top 10, but gets significantly less interesting beyond that Landing a player like Robert, drafting well this season and a few trades (Quintana/Robertson) could really boost the system further If i remember correctly mlb.com guys are more heavy into top end favorite in systems were as other like baseball america judges by the entire system. Probably reason sox got top 3 in mlb ratings
  12. Hahn didn't rule out anything when asked if this was basically the team top pick the Opening Day roster from https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/837757668773126144 Hahn: "We’re not going to cut off any conversations until the time comes to leave camp... https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/837757815389245441 Hahn: "... and then we’ll probably revisit conversations a week, 10 days into the season once things get going." https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/837757898495160320
  13. White Sox have Saladino and Sanchez at second, with Moncada on his way. They also need 40 man spots for Soto and Bourjos most likely https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/837730927094571008
  14. No. 3 on our list of @MLB's Top 10 farms is the revamped @whitesox, led by Moncada, Giolito, Kopech, Lopez & Fulmer: https://t.co/JGI5PMnd68 https://t.co/WDdHUCWpow https://twitter.com/MLBPipeline/status/837712973678379010
  15. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 3, 2017 -> 02:17 AM) And while it may be a small consideration, I'll add that this type of signing would create some positive PR for the rebuild. The Cubs signing Soler was a big deal to their fanbase and this type of move would be no different for us. Let me be clear here, Hahn should not be making moves simply to appease the fans, but if you're looking for reason why the Sox may not continue to operate in the same fashion it always has, this is just one small reason of many and ultimately all ties back to rebuilding. Operational norms must change during a rebuild because short-term goals are now radically different. We shouldn't expect the same old Sox anymore. The other thing is they have always had the idea of spending on the big league roster and less in the minors side. With them now trading off of the big league roster and not adding players to it with any major financial deals they better be using the money in the minors including spending on international market
  16. Reported to be in on Cuban OFer Luis Robert, #WhiteSox international program is back in very good shape under LA director Marco Paddy. https://t.co/VVYzZRZsSl https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/837478719161692160 http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-white-so...ite-sox-rebuild
  17. Re: Luis Robert. @BaseballAmerica thinks #WhiteSox are in good position if he isn't eligible until July 2. But status is TBD by MLB. 1/2 https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/837475066052915200 Re: Luis Robert -- If it's current signing period, crapshoot & who knows where bids would go. But, key #WhiteSox staff haven't seen him yet. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/837475398979985408 Either way, #WhiteSox international program is in much better shape now than 6 years ago bc of Marco Paddy. Have more on that up shortly. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/837475728694235136
  18. If Boston needs replacement for Price, best FA available could be Doug Fister. Industry speculation: Will BOS use Devers to pursue Quintana? https://twitter.com/Buster_ESPN/status/837360517106794496

  20. QUOTE (Dunt @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 01:17 PM) Dead arm usually happens a couple months into the season though, to have it a couple games in to ST isnt a good omen. He's supposed to be their reliable one too lol. He actually was having it coming into spring training.
  21. QUOTE (bighurt574 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 01:00 PM) "Dead arm" is often a precursor to a more serious diagnosis. Alot of pitchers go through dead arm. Usually just rest and wait to overcome it. Dont see alot of issues coming after that unless its something more then Dead arm
  22. White Sox ace Jose Quintana still in high demand on the trade market https://t.co/YtkkmxbxYQ via @MLBBruceLevine https://t.co/1FcFUUkQqX https://twitter.com/670TheScore/status/836206763317866498 Bruce still at
  23. https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/redsox/2...P5RM/story.html Nick cafardo 7. David Robertson, RHP, White Sox — There’s belief that the Nationals could still make a deal for Robertson, even after talks broke down. With the Wieters addition, the Nats now have four catchers in Derek Norris, Jose Lobaton, and prospect Pedro Severino. If Rizzo elects to give up Severino, that deal could regain traction. The Nats really need an established closer.
  24. Nats have interest in David Robertson but unclear if they'll move soon or wait to scout Robertson on Team USA. Nothing seems imminent. https://twitter.com/philgrogers/status/834412439852584962
  25. The Nats would prefer to trade Derek Norris after adding Matt Wieters but it's Severino who interests #Whitesox. Robertson is in WBC. https://twitter.com/philgrogers/status/834218511513710592
