  1. Guerrero and Adams rebounded very well after a lack luster 2016 season so maybe Fulmer can do the same next year. Fulmer should continue to start until he earns a call up or the Sox rotation fills out with the likes of Rodon, Lopez, Kopech, Hansen, Dunning, at which point Fulmer can then be converted to a reliever. I think Fulmer has the repertoire and mental makeup to be an electric Closer if things don't work out for him as a starter.
  2. Yeah, let's the Asstros out of town.
  3. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 11:50 AM) In his chat today Dave Cameron said that if the Yankees make the wildcard game they should start Chapman and have the bullpen pitch the whole game and save Severino for Game 1 of the ALDS. I'd love to see that happen. Great idea Cameron.
  4. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 10:35 PM) The Moncada, Delmonico, Anderson show is tearing it up. Great to see. Also Leury and Yolmer with 2 RBI apiece. Youth will be served. Miguel Gonzales pitched a gem. Sox may still get someing for him . U never know. Oh I forgot, EAT s*** ASSTROS ! Yeah, what he said! ^
  5. McHugh vs MiGo. Should be plenty of offense from both teams tonight.
  6. Can't help but think that before Davidson's newly found stardom, he was actually a, dare I say it, prospect. Yes, it's true. Before Davidson became an MLB ball player he was an MiLB ball player. That's where little ball players learn how to put their big boy britches on before they get called up to become major league ball players and after that, stardom. Like Davidson.
  7. I'll take the win when we can get em because they don't happen much. I sure as s*** didn't think they would thump Dallas like that, but that's baseball. Gotta love it. Plus, after all the Q rumors with the Stros I love the thought of how the rebuilding White Sox went out and thumped their ace. I take the moral victory even if only for a day.
  8. Jimenez has been ridiculous and Zavala not too much less. I think Collins has benefited from the additions of Jimenez and Zavala as well. Definitely think all three should be in Birmingham to start the '18 season.
  9. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 11:11 AM) For that reason I think Dedelow will be getting regular playing time in A ball. If he continues to perform then the Sox will find a way to move him up. Skoug is proving why he fell so far in the draft, he absolutely can't make enough contact. The problem CWS is pointing out is that there's already a glut destined for WS next year and there's no room for Dedelow at WS. As things look right now, the starting OF for WS would be Adolfo/Rutherford/Gonzalez with Fisher and Call on the bench. No room for Dedelow. Only way to not only make room for Dedelow but also get him playing time would be to ( as has been suggested ) move Fisher to 1B and move Call to Birmingham which would leave WS with four outfielders and Fisher as a 5th OF. Or, move both Fisher and Call to Birmingham which I admit , neither are worthy of at this time. This is quite the conundrum.
  10. Not too surprising. Ball players have the money, want the high energy and if I recall cocaine is out of the system pretty quick so it would be less risky getting caught in a drug test. Never had interest in cocaine. Have always been wound a little tight so I didn't need the help. Besides, people on cocaine are f***ing annoying as all hell. They can't sit still, won't stop sniffing or stop yapping about f***ing nonsense.
  11. Matt Moore still blows. WTF happened to him? Doesn't look like he's locating as well as he was last season.
  12. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Aug 7, 2017 -> 01:27 AM) Delete this thread and your account. Edit to add: screw Tebow and just call up Hawkins.
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 6, 2017 -> 06:23 PM) Not really a choice, Lopez is coming up next Friday. Did they decide on Lopez? Last I read they had not decided yet.
  14. Sox have an interesting choice to make between Lopez and Giolito. Not sure which I want to see called up first.
  15. Good claim by Hahn. Now is the time to give players Pederson a chance with a new club.
  16. I'll be tuning in for the Lopez start. Pretty much baseball all day and tonight for me.
  17. Funny stuff by Clarkin who seems to be doing his best Derek Holland mustache impersonation. I think Eloy takes the same path in 2018 that Devers and Acuna took this year. Devers and Acuna had not played above A+ going into this season and now Devers is in Boston and Acuna with Gwinnett looking for a call up. I think Torres was going to do the same before his injury. 2018 is going to be a huge year for Eloy.
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 6, 2017 -> 07:25 AM) Pretty much comes down to the Sox having to be three games worse than the Phillies the last 54 games for the first pick. Otherwise, it'll be 2. Either is fine by me- but we've gone this far....let's get 1. 16-38 should do the trick. 16-38? When did you become the optimist?
  19. Glad this place is running again. Any longer and I would have been forced to talk baseball with my wife.
  20. QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Aug 5, 2017 -> 08:38 PM) Video of Hansen's curve from tonight: Hansen K That's just not fair to the hitter, lol. Funny thing, according to pipeline his Slider is even better which neither is rated as good as his fastball. So much potential it's crazy.
  21. Holy hell, the pitching tonight is insane. As impressive as Hansen and Kopech were tonight, Giolito shutting down Gwinnett impresses me a bit more. A 2020 starting rotation of #1's sounds good to me.
  22. Kid has a very good head on his shoulders. This is a good read and perfect timing for this thread. https://www.milb.com/milb/news/kannapolis-i...250/t-185364810
  23. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 1, 2017 -> 09:49 PM) Anderson strikes out then stares down the pitcher and acts like he wants to fight while being restrained by Steverson causing both benches and bullpens to clear. Bush league. Yeah, bush league for sure. I understand Tim is frustrated but it's not Strohman's fault Tim goes all Sammy Sosa for the breaking ball off the plate.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2017 -> 06:41 PM) Ho hum, Indians kicked his ass again Yep, the ALC still hits him well.
  25. Grab some bench Tim and while you're there, grow up. Get that chip off your shoulder young man.
