  1. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 03:34 PM) Looking forward to Giolito today! http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20170408 http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2017-04-08
  2. Nice win. Great performances by MiGo and Avi especially.
  3. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 01:10 PM) Crazy to think they could've had Bryant and Rodon or Schwarber over Appel and Aiken. Yeah it is. Now imagine their infield of Bryant 1B, Altuve 2B, Correa SS and Bregman at 3B. Adding Rodon to McCullers, Musgrove, Paulino and Martes would be impressive as well.
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 02:12 PM) This I am in agreement with. Given their quotes this offseason, it seemed their mentality leaned towards comfort in going into the season with their current rotation, but McCullers has been injury prone, Morton has been injury prone, and McHugh is out now. They have talented pitchers, but talented pitchers don't always come up and pitch well right away. Look no further than the AL Central - Giolito struggled last year, Berrios was a train wreck, and Bauer hasn't lived up to his prospect status either. I could see this heating up even before June, as long as Quintana is his normal self. I hope you are correct. Works to the Sox advantage for Luhnow to become desperate early in the season before there's a chance of Archer hitting the market. I don't wish anything bad on anyone but if the Astros rotation turns out to be as shaky as has been speculated all winter, the Astros situation will play into Hahn's hand perfectly. Just need Q to be Q and everything will be in place.
  5. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 02:09 PM) Oh boy, here we go... again. I have a feeling something will happen soon.
  6. MiGo on the mound for the Sox today.

    Pandemic Flu

QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 12:16 PM) I'm fine with being a vampire or werewolf, but those night time hours are going to be a killer. I'll still try to get to bed by 1 or 2. I prefer vampire myself. The night time hours will work perfect for me since I'm usually up all night anyway. Hey, maybe the apocalypse will be something like Penny Dreadful where all the monsters come out to play. Could be alot of fun.
  8. Place holder until Tilson comes back? Meh, no biggie since its a minor league deal and probably won't see too many at bats in a Sox uni. Signing Rayburn is a move the Sox should have made when they were trying to compete, lol.
  9. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 12:14 PM) Not sure if this has been posted.. Astros' Collin McHugh visits doctor after experiencing elbow and bicep tightness Man, the Astros have some potential serious pitching issues. Let's hope the Rays compete so Archer stays off the market.
  10. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 02:11 AM) Well, this is an "advice" thread, so I'm not necessarily going to harp on how every other aspect of her is great and she's a blast to be around. I could talk to her all day long, she busts my balls, she's funny, she's real pretty, she's independent and self-reliant, she's got a really strong family (borderline too close w/ her mom, but that's a possible future discussion on here), a job that I tend to seek out in a partner (teacher), and other cool stuff. My original point and continued point is just wondering if it's possible for me to be as attracted to her body as I am her mind. I've never really been in this situation before and I am hoping it's possible, and I think it can be. I don't see this thread as a "let me brag about my partner", but and more like "help me figure out this issue". I would expect most topics in this thread to be either negative or controversial in nature. Stop focusing on her hips and they won't be a problem dude. Sounds like the young lady has alot going for her so try to look at the overall package and not just one aspect of it. I do get what your saying about how you're used to a certain build in the women you've dated. I've always preferred the smaller ones myself.

    Pandemic Flu

The apocalypse won't be the gloom and doom people make it out to be. We will simply evolve from humans into vampires and werewolves thus taking another step up on the food chain. See, that doesn't sound so bad does it?
  12. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 08:35 AM) I don't know how he did yesterday, but Kris Bryant was 0-14 My gawd, what a bum! Houston was wise for taking Appel over Bryant.
  13. QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 07:50 AM) Frazier currently 0 for 12. Don't hold your breath. I won't hold my breath but I won't give up hope either, lol. Frazier didn't get the usual ST reps due to the oblique so I think his bat comes around, to some extent. If not, then Frazier becomes a FA sooner than expected.
  14. Hopefully Moncada and Frazier both hit. Trade Frazier, move Saladino to third with Moncada taking second. The arms, speed and range from the 3B/2B/SS positions would be awesome.
  15. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 12:15 PM) He could be a star for them regardless of where he is playing. I'm of the mind that if he bat really plays that they should move him from off the plate Agreed. If Collins bat becomes something special/star like, I'd like to see him moved to first. Keep his knees healthy and his bat in the lineup. I see Collins as a long time White Sox player for years to come so I'm not concerned about his positional value. Collins eye and power reminds me a bit of Joey Votto.
  16. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 12:55 PM) Everyone seems to be ignoring that there will be restrictions on him coming over as he will be an amateur free agent. Nah, just thinking the Cubs will be a very attractive team for him to sign with. Otani fits right in with the young players the cubs already have.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 12:49 PM) I will be stunned if it's not with the Cubs WS winner with Lackey and Arrietta's salaries coming off the books after this season, makes too much sense.
  18. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Apr 5, 2017 -> 07:27 PM) He's still pretty good at baseball. Yep, not a bad pitcher at all. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 08:25 AM) The White Sox run support followed him to Boston too. Ha ha no kidding. Sale has a dark cloud hovering over his outings.
  19. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 03:44 PM) I mean I just want to know if that's a sox fan or what. I believe so. Pretty sure that gif was made from a video that guy made last year when the Shields trade was announced. I think hi8is might be the dude that posted the video but I'm not sure.
  20. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 03:54 PM) That gif has been attempted to be buried many many times... it always comes back. Seriously, that gif has its own life-force with no known way of being destroyed. It's a f***ing zombie gif!
  21. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 03:37 PM) what's the origin of that gif? I see where you're going with this. You want to destroy the source of the gif in order to destroy the gif itself? Or, at least that's what I'm hoping for.
  22. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 03:23 PM) Honestly I don't think I've ever been less excited to see the Sox winning a game. Wins during a rebuild can be bitter sweet. The Sox need certain players to produce in order to trade them but if they produce it gives the Sox a better chance of winning more games which is counterproductive to trying to get a high '18 draft pick. I suspect the Sox won't have many games where the offense, defense and pitching click so I'm going to enjoy this as much as I can.
  23. Even though it's a 9-1 lead, Shields is on the mound so let's score a few more, lol.
  24. Sale taking on the Pirates right now.
