  1. So TA finally moves to Catcher where he belongs, right?
  2. The Sox interest in Corbin is smoke and mirrors to keep others teams clueless to the Sox off season plans. The real Sox target is Derek Holland.
  3. Well done and thank you for the write-up. I think the Sox were smart in drafting Delgado when they did.
  4. My point is that I think Colome will be more valuable next July than Narvaez so the Sox are looking to flip Colome in July for more than they could get for Narvaez now. He won't be in Chicago for long.
  5. There's more to this trade than trading for a closer with two years of control. I think Hahn is betting he could get more for Colome next July than he would for Narvaez. Hahn was able to get something for Soria when most of the baseball world didn't think Soria was worth much. If the Sox can help Colome the way they helped Soria, we're going to like the trade package Colome brings back next July.
  6. Ricky will be replaced when he benches Machado for not hustling. Next day, he gawn!
  7. Same here. Harper gives them a left handed high OBP bat for the middle of the order. Keeps Eloy in LF where he's better off. If the Sox believe Madrigal is destined for 2B then Moncada might be the future 3B for the Sox and make some sense as to why they would pursuit Harper.
  8. The only hangup I have with Moncada moving to the OF is how well will his legs hold up?
  9. Gonna miss Hawk, his Hawkisms and his stories. No denying his love for the White Sox.
  10. Very sad to see Hawk go. He's a White Sox legend! Wish him all the best and hope he comes back to do Sox/cubs games in the future.
  11. Rodon is coming off of shoulder surgery and building up his innings so I'm not surprised by his struggles. Next year is another development year so let's see how Rodon pitches over the course of the 2019 season before determining his fate.
  12. At work so missed the game but happy to read that box score! Lokks like another great outing for Lopez, not bad for a future reliever.
  13. As of now Rodon, Lopez and Giolito are penciled into the rotation for next season. Regardless of the results so far the Sox just might need Covey next year as a starter. Let him start and see what happens.
  14. I knew there was alot just by watching the games but had no idea it was that much, wow.
  15. Going to be fun to see what inchlongwrigleydong thinks... Great post Greg. I think you're spot on.
  16. I really don't understand the point in that post. It's probably a good thing to be honest. To expect an A ball player with less tools than Moncada to replace him is utterly ludicrous. It makes no sense at all.
  17. 25 men out. Soon to be released on blue ray and DVD. It's a baseball love story about a team purposely losing to get a higher draft slot in the 2019 draft. This love story focuses on the courting of a highly touted draft pick and how White Sox scouts must woo the draft pick to earn his love, trust and respect while the White Sox team lose as many games possible to get into position to draft the prospect. As the story unfolds the mastermind behind this insidiously genius scheme is revealed. Will it be JR? KW? Rick Hahn? Hawk? Or perhaps a ringer hired from outside the organization? Rated PG-13.
  18. I wish you all the best jack and should you decide to return we'll be here. I know what you're going through. I've changed my approach to baseball. If I'm home and have nothing going on with wifey then I watch my favorite team play ball. But if I have other things to do then I do them and watch highlights when I have the chance. Chicago summers are too short to spend so much time in front of the idiot box so I try to get outdoors and live a little when I can. Best of luck Jack!
  19. Okay I see where you're coming from now and agree.
  20. There will be two holes in the rotation after Shields is bought out. Are you comfortable with two of Guerrero, Covey, Adams, Stephens filling those two spots? I'm not. Cease likely won't be ready for a call-up until August or September next year. Then there's the set backs with Dunning and Hansen. I see no problem with a team that has plenty of money to spend shoring up one of those spots with a free agent pitcher. It's not like giving Corbin a big contract would cripple the White Sox finances.
