Maybe the Sox called up Montas for a quick look before they move him to Charlotte to take EJ's place when EJ gets called up to the Sox? Kind of similar to what the cubs did with Schwarber. At least this gives Sox fans something to mull over until Friday.

Since the question was asked. I'm not in the least bit disappointed. I am however glad that by not pitching tonight Sale will most likely pitch against the division rival/leading Royals during that four game series this weekend. And yes, I will sleep very well tonight!

The Sox have the 20th off which could help alot. After the DH on the 17th DFA Boni and make Danks the long man in the pen.
