  1. The Sox will never again be good at the mlb level. As assets developed they will be traded for more assets to maintain a perennial top three farm. The rebuild is perpetual and a never ending story, but a happy one. In time Sox fans will morph into shiny happy people holding hands singing kumbaya and eating smores around a campfire talking about how great it will be when the evil gargamel sells the Sox to Mark Cuban. So buck up little campers because every little ting is gonna be alright.
  2. Always liked McCarthy. I wish well in the braves pen. With his personality I think he'd be a good fit in the booth calling games. Brandon and AJ could make for a fun team.
  3. Even Drake? ? There's nobody more qualified than yourself to play the role of Herm Schneider. Job is yours!
  4. Do I hate more people in the front office or Soxtalk or both? Oh, and is better to hate or be hated? Wait, ya have to hate in order to be hated... right? I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.
  5. Absolutely. Then we would read Soxtalk to get ideas on how to run the front office and build a winner.
  6. Lol, I can't argue that. Can I be Don Cooper then? I'm really good at being grumpy and have swearing down to a science. I make Eric Cartman with tourettes look like a choir boy.
  7. This post is so damn good I nominate you to be the next JR.
  8. I tried but the inbox is full already. Damn! And I had aspirations of being the next Soxtalk villain by taking KW's VP position once the New Whitesox Order was operational.
  9. Rodon, Lopez, Giolito, J.Stephens, J.Guerrero to start the 2019 season. Mid April it changes to Rodon, Lopez, Kopech, Giolito and one of Stephens/Guerrero.
  10. Seriously Jimmy, this has to be some of your finest writing to date. Well done and thank you!
  11. Yeah I'd wait too. Arenado would cost a fortune in a trade and I'm not willing to pay that high cost on an assumption Arenado would be willing to sign an extension with the rebuilding White Sox.
  12. Of course the payroll is low in a development year and need to play the young players to see what they have. I expect the payroll to be low again next year. That's how a true rebuild works which is better than the re-tooling/re-building on the fly we used to hear.
  13. Fans think things are bad now but step back and think how bad it would be if the Sox didn't have such great assets to trade in Sale, Q and Eaton to jump-start the rebuild. Then there's the Yankee trade that brought a top 100 prospect in Rutherford. Prospects take time to develop so patience is key and all the whining won't do anything to speed up the process.
  14. You won't want to hear this but he's not blocked and it appears Cincinnati has already figured it out. Senzel has 28 games at second base this year and only 14 at third base. I'd guess they plan to sell high this winter on Gennett to get a starting pitcher and play Senzel at second next year. There's no chance Cincinnati would keep the 28 year old Gennett over the 23 year old Senzel. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=senzel000nic
  15. I think a guy like Colton Welker from Colorado would be more obtainable in a trade. To be honest Cincinnati would be dumb to trade Senzel and I don't see any way they trade him regardless of Suarez.
  16. Just rename the thread title " Confucius ".
  17. With as often as a handful of posters use the confused emoji I'm thinking they've never watched baseball before. Or they are just that confused by life itself.
  18. Not surprising considering the injury set backs to Hansen/ Robert and Burger hasn't played at all.
  19. No because Girardi wil be the next White Sox manager. Bet all the houses!
  20. Worth keeping an eye on but won't get excited just yet. He'll be 24 in September so I'd prefer to wait and see what he can do in Birmingham when he gets there next season.
  21. One thing to keep in mind with Cease is he's still building up his innings. He had 93.1 in 2017 and currently sits at 106.1 so far this season. I can see keeping him in the minors for the 2019 season to continue building up his innings and then call him up mid April 2020.
  22. To be honest I don't recall ever using the confused emoji but it's possible. I have used the laughter emoji in both laughing with someone and laughing at someone. Some posts are such obvious troll jobs that I just can't resist the temptation of laughing at them. I'll stop there because I really don't have anything nice to say about the trolls.
  23. In the time it took you to post this you could have googled his name and found out for yourself. Google is your friend, do not fear the google!
  24. I like this. The only prediction I might disagree with you on is I think Luis Basabe could end up being the starting CF when the 2021 season rolls around.
  25. There's been alot of this shit happening around here in various threads and it's gotten old quick. I have no problem with people seeing things differently as long as they discuss it but using that stupid emoji without commenting is pure chicken shit. Well done ChiSox59 and thank you for taking the time to summarize Hahn's comments. Much appreciated.
