  1. Wins are few and far between so I try to enjoy them when they happen. Here's the box score for those that missed it. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/white-sox-vs-rangers/2018/07/01/530655#game_state=final,lock_state=final,game_tab=box,game=530655
  2. Yeah I agree dude. It will get better with each year bringing in more top talent and the youth gains experience. I do feel for us fans because one thing we can all agree on is we want our team to win.
  3. Thanks man. Truth be told I remember when the trades began and the rebuilders were happy( myself being one of them), a certain Soxtalk member said something that stuck with me and keep reminding myself of. It was something along the lines of that this rebuild will take some time due to the time it takes to develop young minor league talent and then even more time to develop them in the majors. That poster speculated it could be 2021or later before they become competitive again due to the talent being so young and far away from the majors. Care to take a guess who it is?
  4. Now you've done it! Tagging Greg to a minor league thread will not end well. This is gonna get messy! In other news, lol. Cease with some good numbers today and looks like he is settling in at Birmingham. Collins with a bomb but no walks which is a surprise.
  5. Gavin no longer Sheets the bed!
  6. Looking ahead to 2019 I hope Booker continues his pace and takes over CF next year.
  7. Same here. Especially now that Timmy has become more selective at the plate.
  8. Agree with Lopez on this. Lopez has the stuff to get a high strike out hitter like Gallo out.
  9. I've been wondering why Lopez doesn't throw more curve balls. He has a nice one.
  10. El Rey looking good so far and against a tough left handed lineup. Nice easy inning!
  11. Great play by Timmy to end the second. Engel showing off his speed for a double to lead off the third.
  12. As I read this post TA just made a nice backhanded play to throw a dart to Davidson to save a run. Abreu is in a funk, no different than previous years. He'll rebound.
  13. Not so much comparing. Just showing that these are teams that went through lengthy rebuilds and an angry fanbase during those years. Hahn had a mess that was left for him to clean up. The years of retooling on the fly, horrible draft scouting and draft signings left him almost nothing to build from in the minors. If it wasn't for Hahn getting Sale, Q and Eaton signed to extremely team friendly contracts this team would be even more fucked than they currently are.
  14. When I said bruh I was mocking it. Honestly I don't where the hell it came from I don't disagree with you that's it's been forever that the Sox have relevant. I was tired of all the failures in drafting and free agent signings as well. For me it all changed when Hahn was put in charge of this rebuild and when the Sox revamped their scouts and coaches. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and so far I like what they've done in scouting, drafting and the trade returns. Still think the coaching leaves something to be desired, well alot to be desired really.
  15. Yep the end is near for Bruce. I'm surprised he's still here after the shit he pulled earlier this week when Ricky went to take him out.
  16. Ha ha, I'm far from being a millennial ( fan since 83). I'll keep this short and sweet. It's a rebuild and these are the things that happen during a rebuild ( see Astros and cubs). Young players struggling at the MLB level is nothing new to the game of baseball. Rebuilding teams playing shitty baseball is nothing new. Front office failures happen to every team. It's out of the fans control so fans can accept it, continue to whine about it or find another team to follow. You think this is bad now? Most of the Sox talent is still in the minors and will be coming up over the next two or three seasons and will go through the same thing we're seeing now. Better find a way of getting used to this because you'll be seeing more of it over the next few years. Welcome to the rebuild.
  17. Houston went through the exact same thing with their fanbase. That's a team that picked first three years in a row if I remember correctly. LMFAO, look at that team now!
  18. Great thread idea Ron! Huge props to you dude!!! I'll comment later on the minors but for the big league club... Yolmer has been fantastic! TA continues to progress defensively, hitting for more power and is walking a lot more. Matt Davidson has been a nice surprise when he's healthy. Daniel Hulk Palka has been a nice surprise as well. When he makes contact he destroys the baseball. Jose Abreu, nuff said. Jace Fry has been spectacular. Despite his occasional struggles I really like what is be seen from Lopez and kudos to him for having the balls to call himself and his teammates out for shitty baseball. Avilan and Cedeno have been solid and fun to watch pitch. Shields has gone from dumpster fire to respectability. Giolito appears to be coming around along with his velocity. Not sure what to make of Covey now that he's come back to earth but he's gone from "why is he on the team?" to " let's see what he can do". Sick movement and velocity on his sinker, yikes. Yoan has shown glimpses of what he's capable of. That's it for now.
  19. I would really hate to see Yolmer traded but if a team makes an offer headlined by a top 75 prospect it would be hard for me to argue against it. And I consider myself to be a pretty big fan of Yolmer.
