When that happens, the Sox release Shields/Holland/Pelfrey so they can move to Kansas to live in Gregg's basement. So, Uh, yeah, I'm like down with adding another starting pitcher, and s***.

Sounds like a lot of posturing going on in the media with Baltimore insisting Kopech be in the deal we le Sox sources saying its not true. At first, Baltimore said they would be willing to trade Machado within their division and now they are spooked that somehow Machado finds his way to the Yankees. Which is it? I think Baltimore is unhappy with the offers and is using the Yanks as an excuse to drive up the price. Lots of posturing.

I think there's a serious crack problem in KC.

Not sure what to believe at this point but things just got interesting really quick. I know I wouldn't give up Giolito or Kopech for Machado so I hope those rumors are bs.

Yeah, forget Ellsbury. He's not going anywhere. Gardner is the Yankee to focus on. If the Sox were willing to take on Gardner and his salary, it would alleviate the need for the Yanks to rotate their outfielders through the DH spot and would leave a hole there.. Expand the trade to Yolmer/Abreu (Yanks new DH) for Gardner/Frazier/Sheffield/McKinney. If that's not enough, tell Cashman that Dombrowski is on the other line offering Benintendi.
