  1. So the White Sox are out Eh? Screw Ohtani, didn't want him anyway. Over rated.
  2. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 04:33 PM) Want the Giants to win because they have the less interesting farm than the Cardinals. More importantly, want it to be over so more teams come after Abreu and maybe even Avi. Same here. Hoping Stanton goes to SF and the Cards come calling for Avi/Abreu.
  3. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 2, 2017 -> 02:21 AM) Do you mean Cardinals? I'm just a nerd. No silly. Athletic supporter! https://m.dickssportinggoods.com/p/century-...acntrythltcsthr
  4. QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 1, 2017 -> 10:04 PM) I've been a supporter of his since he was in the minors Athletic supporter?
  5. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Dec 1, 2017 -> 09:16 PM) Funny section from a Sullivan Fangraphs chat https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/jeff-sulliv...phs-chat-12117/ I would totally do that trade That's paying 10M for the #33 pick.
  6. Wow. This is a really nice surprise. Better than I expected the Sox to do at catcher.
  7. QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 26, 2017 -> 10:19 PM) I guess no one likes creative writing as much as me. I'll write something up over the coming week whenever time allows. Should be fun. Well, we're waiting...
  8. And some thought the Sox would not be active in the free agent market. Ha ha!

  10. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 30, 2017 -> 09:57 AM) George Ofman‏ @georgeofman Following Following @georgeofman More Confirming talks between White-sox and Red sox for Abreu but told it probably will take an offer Rick Hahn can't refuse. Remember, Bosox GM Dave Dombrowski is not shy about trading prospects. Remember Sale for Moncada, Kopech and two others? @WBBMNewsradio Ha, no s***? DD is the White Sox best friend right now. Dombrowski has ... 1) left Detroit's farm absolutely decimated. 2) left Detroit on the hook with a few bad contracts. 3) traded Moncada and Kopech to the White Sox. I really like DD.
  11. Bet all the houses! Jose Abreu, he gawn! All Jose Abreu White Sox gear is now 99% off (while supplies last).
  12. QUOTE (Tony @ Nov 29, 2017 -> 04:51 PM) ^^
  13. I think the rabbit hole has morphed into a black hole.
  14. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 29, 2017 -> 12:59 PM) I wouldn't be either. I just thought throwing out the "among the 4 teams interested" was odd as there was no mention of 4 teams talking to the Sox haha Lol, I follow ya. Don't know where I pulled four from.
  15. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 29, 2017 -> 12:52 PM) We don't know that there are only 4 teams. I wouldn't be surprised if it is four teams. There's not a big market for first baseman again this year. If the Sox have four legit interested teams, that's a good thing.
  16. Have to imagine the Rockies and Cardinals are among the four teams interested. Really like what they have to offer in a trade.
  17. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Nov 28, 2017 -> 10:11 PM) Jose Abreu Leury Garcia Avisail Garcia Al Albuquerque Danny Farquhar Jake Petricka Zach Putnam Carlos Rodon Yolmer Sanchez If it were me I'd say "he gone" to Albuquerque, Farquhar, Petricka, Putnam and maybe Sanchez. Sanchez, really?
  18. QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 28, 2017 -> 12:20 AM) I'd rather put my bet on Avi... might be considered a higher risk bet but I'd wager the reward potential is worth it. I'm just not sold on Avi. It's the lack of power and poor defense that get me. I would happily take JBJ over Avi.
  19. What about JBJ for Avi swap? How far off is that?
  20. QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 27, 2017 -> 06:01 PM) But he's only available for 1 additional year past Abreu. Yeah, the market for first baseman is not a kind one right now. I'd want something else with JBJ for Abreu. It would be an interesting trade because if JBJ can start the 2018 season hitting like he did in 2016, he could be worth more than Abreu at the trade deadline next summer. Or, he's the White Sox CF through the 2020 season.
  21. QUOTE (Tony @ Nov 27, 2017 -> 05:02 PM) I never get tired of this gif.
  22. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 27, 2017 -> 10:41 AM) This is hysterical to me lol anyone else see the irony? Yep, I see it too. It's becoming less surprising, to be honest.
  23. QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 27, 2017 -> 02:34 AM) Perhaps it was this? I can't see anything before this about it. Yep, that's the ticket. Nothing I've read has indicated he's looking for a specific number of at bats. Just that he wants to be a two-way player. I'm not sure 600 is even possible in the AL anyway. If he makes all 32 starts as a pitcher, that's 32 games he will not be in the lineup which leaves him with 130 games to get his at bats. 500-550 is probably what were looking at AL teams being able to offer. The only way he gets 600+ is signing with an NL team. I think he ends up signing with an AL team. Seattle has a lot to offer Ohtani.
