  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 30, 2017 -> 07:30 AM) StatCast said it was the highest home run hit the entire season. Between that hit and the Puig check swing homer, something is going on. Minute Maid Park was the top pitchers park all year too. Maybe the Astros took a page from the Twins notebook on how to use the AC to their advantage. Seriously though. It's a combo of the ball and that during the Astros rebuild Luhnow has not been shy about building his team's with more power in mind over the last few years.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 30, 2017 -> 01:58 AM) Holy s***! Woke up at 2 am, my Twitter timeline was mayhem, another classic. But the ball is not juiced. Yeah man, this game was just f***ing nuts to watch. I'm pulling for the Dodgers but I'm glad I'm not emotionally attached or I would be bats*** crazy after that loss. I think it's time to start PED testing the baseballs. If you get a chance , check out Correa's HR. I kinda wonder if that ball had more height than distance. Not trying to take anything away from Correa but damn.
  3. Well, it didn't end the way I prefer but this was one hell of a game.
  4. Let's hire Ozzie to manage the Spanish speaking players and Girardi to manage the English speaking players. Best of both worlds.
  5. This umpire has been so inconsistent tonight.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 09:57 PM) This series is amazing. I have to work in 7 hours, enjoy the game. Check Fox when you wake up, this crazy game might still be playing.
  7. WTF is Roberts thinking with calling for a bunt? Made no sense.
  8. This has to be Kershaw's last inning, I hope. Maybe I should have said last batter.
  9. Nice swing from Barnes to keep that fair.
  10. QUOTE (daggins @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 07:07 PM) The only teams left are Philly and NY. So I guess, for now, its Philly or bust. Unless the Phillies go another route, it looks like they have their choice between Mo, Larry and Curly ( Farrell, Girardi, Baker). Decisions decisions.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 07:34 PM) It's the offseason and people are not posting much which means they'll still get mad at me for bringing this up ... but I've been reading a lot of Ozzie speculation stories -- to the Yankees or Tigers, which are just reporters dreaming to get great-copy Ozzie on board. But it made me think. The guy is still young and has a WS ring and speaks Spanish. This guy, who assuredly has matured, would be perfect for our rebuilt team. Get him to sign a waiver saying a committee of three (Jerry, KW and Hahn) will have the right to fine him $100,000 for any controversial statements on Twitter or on radio or TV that they deem harmful. A second violation would be immediate dismissal. And he's also fined $100,000 if he ever makes the statement, "I'd tell you what I really think but I could get fined $100,000 if I do so." The only risk is that Ozzie will open his mouth in negative ways again. How many times did he truly get in trouble opening his mouth in his Chicago years? Not that many. Miami was the bad one. I know he's probably blackballed by all owners and will never work in baseball again, but the White Sox are a different organization. Allegedly so loyal. If Renteria doesn't work out, why not forgive and bring Ozzie back? Before you freak out and say I'm trolling or whtaever, remember Ozzie HAS BEEN in the news this week. Some stories have been written saying Detroit and NYY should hire him. Stephen A Smith called for Ozzie. It's not like I'm trying to cause trouble. Yes I worship Ozzie Guillen if that's the right word. Yes I want him back. And some of these articles give me a smidge of hope. So in your minds ... would you accept Ozzie back?? Please answer. a.) Yes. b.) No. c.) No Bleeping Way. d.) Yes dammit of course! If this topic angers you, sorry. But he is a part of Sox history and he's still young and available and talented.
  12. 3-0 Dodgers on a weird play, lol.
  13. The Cards are well under the cap for next year so they can afford Stanton. They also have much more to offer in a trade than SF. Bader and O'Neill are better than anything SF has to offer.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 05:51 PM) I hear ya, the Dodgers bats may have awaken in the 9th inning last night. I just think Kershaw is the biggest story given everything in his history. Yep, really hoping the bats woke up last night. We'll find out very soon. Kershaw has been nasty so far and I think the difference is he's healthy and the Dodger pitching depth allows Kershaw to pitch on regular rest. Man, I really hope the Dodgers can get to Keuchel so Kershaw can get 7 solid innings to take some pressure off the Dodger pen.
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 02:48 PM) Yea, no joke! Atta boy Davey! Still wish we woulda given him his first gig. Yeah, Martinez or Sandy Alomar Jr would have been better options that RV, IMHO. It's cool, I'm fine with Ricky for the time being. So, looks like Farrell and Girardi are still looking for new homes. Maybe they sign with a network as a new broadcast team.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 03:32 PM) There is some guy named Clayton pitching for the Dodgers too, as we mentioned before, yet another chance to reverse his poor postseason reputation and clinch a spot in the HOF My post was not about Kershaw though, I think he'll be just fine. I'm wondering how the Dodgers will fair against Keuchel. Usually teams do better against a pitcher when they see him for a second time within a week but Keuchel will be pitching at home where he's tough to beat.
  17. Any thoughts on tonight's game? This will be the second time the Dodgers will see Keuchel but he will be at home home where he's incredibly tough.
  18. QUOTE (daggins @ Oct 29, 2017 -> 09:56 AM) So Dave Martinez to Nats. Remember when we all wanted him to replace Ozzie? Seems so long ago. Not sure where Girardi ends up now. Some team that underachieves in 2018, or a team that fires their manager to bring him in? Angels? Cardinals? Lol, shows how little I know. Good to see Martinez finally get a chance.
  19. Looks like the Dodgers got to Giles in the 9th for the 6-2 win. Should be Keuchel vs Kershaw Sunday.
  20. QUOTE (hi8is @ Oct 28, 2017 -> 07:06 PM) +1 You could pointed out my misspelling of Darvish. Didn't catch spell check correcting it. In the dictionary now though.
  21. Really hope this lights a fire in the Dodgers club house to whoop Houston's ass and that Darvish gets a chance to redeem himself in this series. Really impressed with how Darvish handled this.
