  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 10:59 AM) No, that’s what SyFy was invented for lol This is exactly what I thought the first time I had seen the trailer. I looked at my wife and said " Coming soon, to a syfy channel near you". As far as Butler goes, gimme RocknRolla, Reign of Fire and The Bounty Hunter. His next movie should be titled, Gerard Has Fallen.
  2. This is bulls***. Gurriel made the jester and comment during this series so he should serve the suspension during this series. Manfred is an idiot.
  3. Tilson made it through his first two atbats injury free. Put him back on the prospect map! Bet da house on it!
  4. QUOTE (daggins @ Oct 28, 2017 -> 09:56 AM) From what i've read, the problem with Girardi to Nats is mostly the cost. The Lerners have a tendency to be penny-wise but pound-foolish. Girardi might have to take a year off like Tito, but he'll find the right opening pretty soon. Yeah, I read the same thing too. It's just speculation on my part but I think the Lerner's will change their tune this time around. They have to know by now that their being cheap with their managers is why the team hasn't fulfilled their WS aspersions. Girardi isn't great but he has shown he has a good idea of when and how to use his bullpen which is more than the Learner's can say about their most recent ex-manager.
  5. Great way to promote the diversity of the game Gurriel, f***ing idiot. Darvish handled this very well. Should be interesting to see how Manfred handles this.
  6. And nobody caught Zavala's blast on video? Tisk Tisk. 113mph exit velocity, mercy!!!
  7. The Nat's would be a good fit for Girardi and , IMHO, would be an upgrade over Dusty or at least bring something different to the clubhouse in DC. I know the Nat's just interviewed Farrell but now that Girardi is available, I would think he'll interview soon. Not sure why but I think Farrell would be a good fit for a young team like the Phillies.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 08:32 PM) What happened to Darvish? I wasn't able to watch but I expected him to be the key for LA. Now they are in trouble. From what I could tell he was missing with all his pitches, either off the plate completely or right down the heart of the plate. Didn't have anything for breaking pitches either.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 03:06 PM) ^The ball is juiced in Houston too. 7:20 first pitch the rest of the World Series. But it won't be 100° in Houston's climate controlled dome. Anyway, game is shaping up to be a pitchers duel.
  10. Since the Giants are looking to free up some money, I'd do a James Shields for Hunter Pence/Heliot Ramos swap.
  11. That is a very interesting trade rumor. As a Sox fan, I wouldn't want to see it happen so the cubs remain stuck like pigs with Heyward's contract. As a baseball fan, it's makes sense for both teams.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 26, 2017 -> 11:54 PM) This is about opportunity. How could the Mets not have waited a week? They didn't hear rumors Girardi was getting axed? They could have had Girardi in a coup. It would have embarrassed the Yankees big time. The Sox should hire Girardi. Only he, Francona, Maddon are the alleged difference maker managers. Rick Renteria will be fine. He'll be a highly paid coach as long as he wants to coach. He's just fine. But hire Girardi and let him have his way witih all our young talent. And give him some power to suggest trades or personnel moves. Kenny is a joke; Hahn appears to be good. The Sox scouts we know reek and our player development people reek. The only guy who is proven at developing players is Coop. He does a fine job. Nobody else has a track record at all. I am not demanding Girardi be named. Rick R is doing a fine job except for the bunting b.s. But this is a chance to grab him. If he broadcasts a year, you can bet we'll hire him after next season UNLESS as I said before KW is threatened by any big name managing hire, which is possible. He won the war with Ozzie and he knows how miserable the Ozzie years were for him. Peace out. Have you been drinking? If the answer is yes, then stop. If the answer is no, then start.
  13. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Oct 26, 2017 -> 07:23 PM) Right on. There is no reason that you can't have 2 starting caliber catcher on the same roster for a couple months until they prove they are ready for promotion. No need to rush here. Exactly. I could see a potential issue if there was no DH in the batting order, but there is so I really see no reason to force either catcher. IMHO, Zavala and Collins have a future in the White Sox lineup and think having the DH in the minors and the AL could save both players knees. Could be a big help on the next post season Sox team.
  14. QUOTE (credezcrew24 @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 11:18 PM) Sorry man but you missed the point. The poster I was responding to clearly emphasized the word "ANYONE" in his post. as for the rule 5 players just this year there is Miguel Díaz Luis Torrens Allen Córdoba Kevin Gadea I can't speak for that poster but by anyone I think they meant position players and non-rule 5 draft players but I see what you meant in your reply now.. Rule fives are a bad example since they must make the team out of ST and remain on it through the season. Sox did it with Dylan Covey.
  15. https://www.fanragsports.com/heyman-giants-...-stanton-trade/ Would not mind Stanton staying in the NL.
  16. Somehow I missed this thread earlier. I think Girardi handled that team very well so to me, this is surprising. Agree with those that say Girardi ends up in Miami. As for the White Sox, stick with Ricky for another season and see where were at after 2018.
  17. Fernando Tatis Jr. https://mobile.twitter.com/JesseSanchezMLB/...318081321025537
  18. Culberson looked to me to be happy about the HR and extending the game so Puig could bat.
  19. The Dodger pen is human after all.
  20. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 10:12 PM) Good article on Eloy from the Dominican. My spanish is bad but the summary is that the competition level is high, he enjoys playing in front of his countryman, family, and friends, and that he probably won't ever be back, cause, uh, he's the besss and he'll be in MLB late next summer. www.quisqueyanosports.com/2017/10/lidom-eloy-jimenez-no-esta-seguro-de.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter http://www.quisqueyanosports.com/2017/10/l...twitter&m=1 I used google to translate so it should be pretty close. Man, that smile on Eloy in the picture reminds me so much of JD. Wow.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 09:19 PM) I'm loving this Dodgers team. Yep, hard not to like em. Especially after knocking the cubs out of the playoffs.
  22. Dodgers up 3-1 thanks to a 2R HR from Seager off Verlander.
  23. Eloy getting the night off for White Sox dugout clown legend, Moises Sierra.
